A really important question we should be asking ourselves regarding paid sex...

How many developers out there aren't scared of making sexual human interaction? Seriously, is like a taboo, is it because of political correctness? Oh god Allistair scared expression is very out of place, or perhaps he is just self aware of the miserable reality he is in, you know it's the "kill me please" bioware's scene straight outta 2009.

Actually Allistar's expression is perfect considering how well he and Morrigan have gotten along previously. They've been playing "cat and mouse" the whole game, and guess who's the mouse. That's one of the things that make this cutscene all the better.

It makes sense with that context, but when it's about sex most men really don't care if you hate your sexual partner, in our reality I mean. But Allistair isn't most men I guess.

Wow, I can't believe that someone REALLY went "there", but here goes my take on it; It IS the oldest profession on Earth, insofar as we know. So, why would it's existence suddenly cease to be? Now, admittedly, with the fear of new strains of V.D and the advent of "Virtual Pornography" such a profession just MIGHT be a little less common than it once may have been. Nevertheless, as it was stated in "Wildside", "Some still would want "the real thing", so I don't see the issue. In other C.P 2020 supplements, prostitution was legalized. Of course, you would still have unlicensed prostitutes as well. Technically speaking, if you really want to stay true to the material and the overall theme, such activities, for better or worse, would undoubtedly exist. As in any choice in the game (and in real life), it would and rightly should, be up to the individual. We aren't creating a kid's game after all. And the Cyberpunk world isn't a nice, sanitized game of "Corps, cops and solos."

Should we be able to hire hookers in CyberPunk 2077?

Even if it means fade to black screen, yes.
There is no reason V should be the only one character in the C2077 universe sexually limited by having to be romantically involved with other character for that.

But I'm more worried about still having to see a surgically augmented appearance character in a cyberpunk setting.

Oldest profession is probably food-gatherer, but yeah Night City wouldn't feel authentic without prostitution. Night City should have pornographic braindance as well, because I believe that this is explicitly referenced in Cyberpunk lore.

Judy in the new video said how most of their BDs there are only good for " Flogging the Log " aka jerking off so yeah explicit braindances that involve sex are likely common in CP universe. They aren't the illegal sort even.

I might be twisted but I kinda like that concept art that was shared above. That truly shows how body is no longer sacred but profane.

The bigger question would be why wouldn't it be in game. It is i. The lore as joy girl/boy. On top of that there was brothel in tw3 and prostitution in gta so its not like a new concept in games

Flip that coin!

Should we be able to sell our SELVES for currency or trade in CyberPunk 2077?

one of the reasons pulp fiction is a great movie, is because his heros actually go the can every now and then. evan ceo's has to take a dump in their golden toilets every now and then.

More important than this is the clean up afterwards.
I mean, who doesnt wipe their ass?!

Yes totally, it 100% fits into the lore and the game world/universe of Cyberpunk.

I mean, you can visit brothels in TW3. I don't think it's very important personally ... but it's not unprecedented in CDPR games. If they do it though it should be well done. Not GTA style.
For some reason I was never able to find this in all my time playing the witcher 3. I don't know if my game just broke or bugged or glitched, but I was never able to find the location of this in-game, even when trying to use guides to find it.

Sex in Cyberpunk 2077. Huh. Isn't that called cybersex? ;)

Valid question OP. I trust the devs, as I always have, to make the feature good and not tacky. If it's in the game at all.

Deus Ex Human Revolution had prostitutes you could talk to, but that was also it. It added atmosphere and I really didn't mind talk was all you could.

To actually walk the walk in Cyberpunk 2077. I dare not. What if someone unfolds the dual Kama-blades during? I shudder at the thought.
Again... WHAT?? I never once encountered this in all my time playing Deus Ex Human Revolution and I explored the game so much, multiple times.

No one's gonna say it, so I'm gonna say it. There should be interactive sex in CyberPunk 2077. I'm not saying cutscene level of interactive, I'm looking foward to having a new level of gameplay: sex gameplay.
That would be cool and I really hope I get to experience this one day, hopefully in the cyberpunk setting somehow.

Nope.

No need or purpose for it other then to titillate adolescents.
And these days they can access the real thing via the net ... so why include something that will offend/annoy 50% of their target audience to cater to 10%?
Just make it optional, like a setting. Then everyone is happy. If CDPR doesn't feel like making it or can't, then that's fine too but if they can, and want to, then sure, make it optional. I would be an extremely happy adult of legal age that I got to experience a game that cool.

You have to travel beyond Old Orchard to find one.

Kidding aside, I have no idea how you managed not to find a single brothel in W3, especially considering a side quest High Stakes takes you to one... so unless you purposely skip on quests in the game, and don't venture much into Novigrad... I guess it's possible?

Throw modding tools at
YES! modding tools. PLEASE!
Yep, that's the practical answer.
But the chances of CP2077 having modding tools is slim.
Most folks have no idea how much software ... almost always bought or licensed from other companies ... goes into making a game. You can't give away/sell other peoples products. And making a stand-alone modkit is far from easy.
I'm sure they can make something that works.... right? I don't want to just assume that CDPR permanently can not ever make any modding tools to make modding easier for modders. Hopefully they do figure out a really good way to create very good mod tools somehow and then all will be well for the vast distant future of the game. Dreams will come true! But please! Modding tooooools! Pleeeeeaaassee!!

I went everywhere during the witcher 3, and I went all over Novigrad, and I even had multiple quests inside Novigrad as well, and one of the quests even mentioned/named a place that was a part of a quest as a brothel, but yet- Geralt was not able to actually talk to any of the ladies or do anything. They would just stand around like NPC's that can not be interacted with, before, during, and even after every quest I did it remained the same.

Then again, witcher 3 had a very bad habit of permanently randomly locking me out of many quests and failing many quests for me because of small decisions that I made several real-life hours or days ago, without any hints of indications that I would suffer such a horrible consequence as to be blocked off from large amounts of in-game content. And that's even considering that I gave many NPC's what they wanted, but apparently even though I did it, I didn't do it in the exact extremely hidden secret vague way that they wanted me to do it, which I could not have possibly ever known, not even after trying to play it again. Getting the game to not punish me and lock me out of huge portions of quests or fail my missions was like gambling. I would lose every single time.

I visited every single building in novigrad over 10 times, but never found the brothel that actually allowed me to interact with it. I hope Cyberpunk2077 doesn't torture me so... :(

Crippled Kate's in near the docks in Novigrad. You go in it during the quest Carnal Sins at one point. The Passiflora off the Market in the richer Northern part of town. It's where Gwent High Stakes takes place. There is a third one in beauclair near the docks.

Not a thread about modding. Stoppit!
Ah I saw this post at the bottom. I did reply to some of them, but I will listen to you now that I have seen your post, and I will end my mod-related replies now that I am aware. Thanks for the heads-up. :)(y)

Hmmmm thanks but, I went everywhere in the game. I never found a single one of these people in any place in the entire game. I even tried to use guides that people mentioned a long time ago, and even then I couldn't find the NPC's anywhere. I really could simply not find them no matter how hard I tried. It's a mystery.

Interesting... Perhaps it was a glitch or issue related to your game version? If it makes you feel any better you weren't missing much outside of colorful conversation. Like all sex scenes in TW3 interactions with the fine ladies in brothels lead to the same generic visualizations. Not that it was a big deal since any relevant messages were sufficiently conveyed with generic visualizations. In my opinion anyway.

Fair points :). Yes, selected actions in TW3 at many points had cryptic results. In others they did not but it was hard to really know the result of a choice without viewing it in hindsight.
The way interactions with Ciri influenced the end-game are a prime example. Like, how was I supposed to know the "correct" choice in many interactions was to support her independence? Give her room, let her make her own choices, build her confidence, etc. Once you knew the general design there, sure. Beforehand? Eh, I don't know....

That's a bit OT though.... So I'll avoid getting carried away and leave it at that. I put part of those comments in spoilers... Just in case :).

First off given the maturity of a cyberpunk setting i really don't think is fitting for adolescent... Is a dark gritty low life world.. we have drug dealers, organ dealers, prostitute they want to follow the cyberpunk spirit then they really have to don't censor this thematics...

Sex is part of cyberpunk equally as drugs and gritty violence...
I agree, kids shouldn't even be near some movies and games, unless their parents allow them to.

But for the people screaming "Think about the childrens!" i tell to go and walk away...
Those are the same people that finds acceptable see gore everywhere decapitations people burned alive and tortured but when they say a pair of boobs they scream scandal!
Exactly. I notice this hypocrisy constantly. No game or movie or media or art should ever be censored or ruined just because parents do not know how to lock their doors when they enjoy the video game.

Last thing i want is a Morally Correct Justice Warriors Friendly Cyberpunk Game
I totally agree. I rather everyone have the freedom to say whatever they want and make any art they want rather than live in a world where everything is restricted based on the emotions of people who have crowned themselves the kings of judgment, pretty much out of nowhere for no reason. I do not bring any politics into this in any way, I am just saying that it's scary to see so much censorship and see freedom of speech (Which I would say in my opinion is a universal right that everyone has a right to enjoy, completely regardless of anyones politics or beliefs in any way shape or form) And it's especially scary to notice all this censorship that happens especially based on such subjective reasoning, rather than objective facts. So all kinds of random things end up getting censored because someone decided that it's not okay anymore, and just because they feel that way, now it's censored for everyone. It is the most frustrating thing in the world of movies, games, books, media, and art in general.

Wait what? I strongly doubt that assumption is true.
