A suggestion: human behavior

So this is how the game works: Geralt is walking the slum streets of Novigrad, or exploring the wilderness. Then, he encounters a camp of bandits, or gets assaulted, or some thugs attack him in order to take his purse. Let's say it's four or five people against one, so the bandits feel emboldened, oblivious to the fact that they are facing the butcher of Blaviken. Then Geralt kills one of them, and two, and executes one of the combat finishers, splitting the torso of a man, decapitating someone in one swing of the sword, or setting several people on fire.

This is when, realistically, the rest of them -unless they are sky high on fisstech or something, I guess- should literally shit their pants and run for their lives or drop their weapons and beg for mercy. Strangely, they keep fighting to the last man! A feat that is considered unusual and worthy of recognition in armies of trained men. This breaks my immersion; I don't want to kill those poor bastards, but the only way to do it is running off myself even though I was trashing them.

I don't know how hard it is to implement or mod in a fear mechanic, but it would be nice if CDPR considered it for upcoming games, if there is a character as OP as Geralt in them, that is. I think it adds to the general immersion, and would help discern between 'normal' foes and brave or greatly insane ones. Also, you'd need to actively chase running enemies, or murder unarmed people in order to kill them all, which kind of adds roleplaying space.

I would love to read your thoughts.

Fair criticlsm, but Suicidally Overconfident Bandits is an RPG trope with entrenched cliche status. It would be remarkable by its absence and probably even lead to complaints about how hard it was to chase down the fleeing bandits.

Still, even if a fear mechanic is difficult to get right in AI, it's worth the attempt.

I;m reminded of how much fun "Crocodile Dundee" had with this.
