A warning for leaks

Since my previous post was deleted without so much as a comment, I would like to make a topic to just warn people visiting this forums that there are leaks about in the form of several design documents. Be careful where looking, especially on Twitter or Redit. (I assume that this is allowed since it contains no links or such).

Yeah ,that one link could be used to get to another link where some concept art were, I should have been more careful on that one.
I do feel that discussing the sucject or atleast having a warning up seems wise though, there will be jokers about posting endings sooner or later.

PSA: The Witcher 3 Design Docs have been leaked - AVOID THE INTERNET.

Yeah so The Witcher 3 design documents have been leaked.

Said google document includes the main and side quests as well as the endings. Also, which enemies are in the game, which were removed etc. You get the idea.

I won't link to other boards and sites since they're already full of spoilers(you probably know which sites I'm talking about and which to avoid).

So now begins the 8month hurdling for many of us, who unfortunately are part of online communties that include a lot of shitposters and trolls.

BE AWARE and choose carefully where to go from now on or set filters(!), because people will talk about the contents of this.

I hope people won't spoil the endings here and I am definately not going to look for them. I mean that's just ruining the game. I don't understand why people do such a thing. Hacking the developer, really? That's low.

The leaked files are mostly charts specifing what's finished and what is not. A few WIP quest's are outlined and there are some artworks.

Yes, you could probably guess some of the story from the game guide chart but there won't be any major spoilers floating around because there isn't any in those files. At worst, we'll know about some side characters sooner than we'd like to.

Apparently a CDPR employee (who's name I'm not going to post here for obvious reasons), has accidentally set said google Docs to "public". No one has been hacked, people merely had access suddenly

Nah man, the guy on 4chins was bragging about hacking the employe, and how he was gonna hack other developers. I hope CDPR looks it up and sues him or something.

Unture, the person who posted these files in the first place clarified that he/she hacked the email of the said employee. And gained access thanks to the email. He is also asking wich studio he should hack next. Which implies that he/she has found some sort of exploit and is using it illegally.

It's not much to be honest, the particularly egregious bits were the ending conditions and the lists of characters. Nothing too important or spoiler-ific other than that. And should you really be making threads about leaks and letting the news out in the open?

I am hearing differently from those that had a look over the files, there is apparently a document with choice moments and results in the form of a chart.
Seeing as the leak contains a dozen or so different files I would be very careful regardless wether the above is true or not.

@Scheuk would you rather have people not knowing to be careful and be completely suprised when somebody posts something of said spoilers? It is already mentioned on many gaming websites now, so little use in acting like nothing happened.

You're right. I mixed things up. Neogaf and Reddit also state the guy on /v/ as the source. Usually I don't believe anything that's said on /v/ so I ignored it.

The news are out in the open anyway. There is a bigger chance someone will come running onto theese very forums and post all of the files in one go, unless there is a thread acknowledging their existence. As long as there is a moderator overlooking this place, it should be ok.

I had a look at those files myself, which is why i wan't to reassure people that it's not that bad.

Maybe a few shitters on 4chan for example might come along before release and post, "THIS HAPPENS", but for the folk not paying attention to that and most respectable forums, it won't even be a thing anymore in a couple months.

Don't try to "make people aware", just stick to places and forums with communities you respect and know most likely won't spoil anything, stay away from 4chan (Or Witcher threads on there) and just try to forget about it. CDPR just needs to try to keep any big websites from posting articles about it and then let the little sites police themselves, it'll all blow over IMO.

I was bit tempted to download it but then i thought of it and pretty simple :

I dont want to lose any " in awe" moments that game will show.This really can spoil the game , like list of all main chaacters that is in leak or variables of endings.If u know what to expect , and what to choose or what outcome will be , you will lose that "in awe" moments , and chosing will be not the same ...soo

It is that bad at least for me.

What now ?Should i throw off my comp till next febuary?Or plug off internet?Beacuse there will be spoilers on every corner now with all the ppls that will try to be "helpfull"?

That will not work though, news is news and gaming sites will post it on their site, especially because it is TW3 related and thus generates hits.
Acting all hugh hush about it will only make it seem more exciting than it actually is and thus increase the appeal of it.
@Reod just stick here for TW3 news, discussion and all that, that way the change of getting spoiled is very small.

its terrible because CDPR was trying their hardest to avoid spoiling the game for the fans and now something like this happens.
most of this stuff wont mean anything to new players, and mean very little for casual Witcher fans. Book fans have plenty to be excited about, but it's still awful because they wont experience this on the spot. so avoid the spoilers and CDPR should really tighten their security (like no sensitive files on google drive)

I got exposed to what might be a major spoiler, but honestly judging by the name involved I hope it's fake (It's a pretty modern name that doesn't really fit into the Witcher universe)
