@Scheuk
The news are out in the open anyway. There is a bigger chance someone will come running onto theese very forums and post all of the files in one go, unless there is a thread acknowledging their existence. As long as there is a moderator overlooking this place, it should be ok.
I had a look at those files myself, which is why i wan't to reassure people that it's not that bad.
RIP
I got exposed to what might be a major spoiler, but honestly judging by the name involved I hope it's fake (It's a pretty modern name that doesn't really fit into the Witcher universe)
But yeah this sucks
So did I and some of the contents are answers to 90% of questions and speculations all over the internet. Also, quests and ending spoilers. And it's not only what they directly say, it's what certain elements imply in relation to gameplay and story.
Also, I don't speak polish but I expect a second wave as soon as that gets translated.
@501105 Internet does not end at witcher 3 forum.
I'm refering to quests and ending in particular. There are some, but there is no reason to be afraid someone will tell you how the game end. Unless they guess based on what's in there.
As for mentions of important places and characters, including those from the books, they will probably be out there. Which is very unfortunate. The files, are mostly various lists in Excel. They are meant to allow tracking the progress of the work being done on assets. So yes, all of that is in there. But there is little story.
I read on Steam that CDPR got hacked and the endings and lots of other stuff got leacked... Is it true?
Unfortunately enough story to spoil many sidequests and also at least one ending(I could only track down one so far, so I'm not sure if there's more).
Personally I don't mind spoilers at all, but saying "it's not that bad" may be right for people looking for entries like "x dies after y". But when someone reads it thoroughly and tracks the entries carefully, there's lots of spoilers that could ruin, not the game itself but major aspects of it for many people.
I was afraid of that much, time to go dark on TW3 besides here.
Hate to say it... but someone, somewhere, on a EA office must be laughing his a$$ off... and he deserves to die.
On the bright side, there's also good "spoilers" concerning the technical state of the game. Some files state that most is "fully functioning" "bug free", "x has been successfully implemented", "content is still added" etc.
