I mean an another interesting point could be how Gerald travels to Toussaint... If he travels in a regular way by horse it's complicated to integrate that DLC in the main game. But perhaps Gerald falls into the story of "Blood and wine" like by HoS and he comes there by teleport. I hope "Blood and wine" is connected with my beloved Devil's pit cavern I miss to enter in the main game... :innocent: Hope dies last. :innocent:

I know it probably wont happen, but plz RED, if you are still writing Blood and Wine, make most of your fans happy and include some interactions/references, even little, with the main characters of the game. I know that the DLC will probably not be integrated with the main game but it would be awesome to have some glimpses of the "aftergame". Even just some lines in dialogues with other characters in Toussaint alluding to Kovir/life as a couple with Yen and Ciri empress/Ciri adventures as witcheress would be awesome. As pointed before, in Toussaint all the war background is not such a deal and could be settled with a simple "With the war ending, Nifgaard attentions are even further away from Toussaint (either if Nilfgaard has lost and must recover itself/has domestic issues or has won and must strengthen its new domains). So it can be vague and easy to implement. But for the co protagonist of the game, it's litteraly just a matter of some hints between the lines to give a good sense of relief and connection with the main story.

If this map is accurate, then Toussaint is not much farther away from the Velen/Novigrad area than Kaer Morhen, so it could be integrated into the game in a similar way. The first time the player travels there from a specific place/quest, maybe with a cutscene, and then it will be unlocked for fast travel later at any time.

I hope they keep the difficulty of HoS, add new gameplay (like the new abilities and run/glyphwords for more complex character building), items, etc. Preferably, the quest should start somewhere 37-38-ish I think. Most players will be around 32 at least when finishing the game.

Story-wise, I'm hoping for plenty new stuff, although I would like to see what has becometh of Saskia. If it ties in with the exiting characters that's fine, but not a must, as long as we get a new love option then. I got creamed (rightfully so) by triss and Yen, and Well, HoS-LI wasn't much better...

A new tier of skills and at least 3 new open spaces for them would be nice. Even now in NG+ with like Level 65 I hardly use any new skill that I didn't already use at the end of the normal game with level 35.

I'm currently doing a second playthrough, and in Vizima I foind a letter that I haven't seen before.
It's from Fringilla Vigo to Yennefer, and she metions that she has buisness to do in beauclair..

So my question is, do we know when Blood and Wine will be set? Because if it's set before the main story then this might be a small hint regarding it. :)

That would be obvious, but it would make things a bit more complex or they would have to set the DLC AFTER the main story.

Where do you find the letter because I've never seen it before too.

Not sure where it exactly is, but I think this letter was in the game since it was released:
Yennefer, my dear friend,

Thank you for your letter. Forgive me for not answering your earlier attempt to reach me via megascope. I am trying to limit my magic communication to the absolute minimum. One never knows who's listening, don’t you agree?

I am delighted you have found a position at our gracious emperor's court and wish you the best of luck in the search for his daughter. It is good to know that Emhyr's intentions for her have become more, how shall I put it, mundane. Perhaps in these circumstances an agreement regarding the Lodge will prove possible after all?

In response to your first question, I can state beyond all doubt that Ciri has not appeared anywhere south of the Yaruga. Believe me, I could recognize her magic signature in my sleep.

I have not had any contact with Triss for a long time. I only know that things in Novigrad have taken an ill turn. She mentioned something earlier about fleeing to Kovir, but I am afraid that in the current political climate that amounts to an impossible daydream.

I hope I will soon be able to join you in Vizima. First, however, I must take care of some unfortunate yet urgent matters in Beauclair.

With my fondest regards,

Fringilla Vigo

P.S. Thank you for the news about Geralt. He always seems to land on his feet, doesn't he?

By the way, if the expansion can be played during the main quest (as suggested here), then Fringilla Vigo may not be in it, nor anyone else from the main game or HoS.

I think you are right. In my opinion persons who can appear are only some people from the gwent cards like Regis...

I really don't know what to do with all these skill points I gained in NG+... I would like to have +2 slots for mutagens and +6 slots for skills. There are so many fancy skills I cannot use... :( Monsters should be adequately more powerful in that case :). More Caretakers... More Shovels :D

Besides that - I trust CDPR will do their best to give us exceptional piece of adventure.

The problem with Fringilla is, that there can be a situation in which you just met her in BoW only to free her from the Emperor in the next quest. I think we can be pretty sure, that she will be in the expansion but it will be interesting to see, how they pull it off.

I have made a list of what seems to be the most sought-after things that fans want to see in the Blood and Wine expansion. If you want to read it or add other things to the list, hoping that CDPR will read it, you can find it in the SUGGESTIONS forum. :)

I hope to see new mounted enemies. Knights and Lancers. Level 6 bandits were so boring in original game

I don't because quite a few of the people on the cards are dead.

You can play HoS pretty much any time you get to the right level for it. Like I said before, I've only played the main quest up until I got past level 30, and only those quests I had to do to unlock the various areas and characters. So I've not completed Ugly Baby yet. So far the only possible problem I've come across I've reported to RED as a potential bug, after a pack of wolves followed me and killed a character who is in both HoS and the main story.

I think that this is how they pull it off:

If you start and finish the expansion before going to Skellige with everyone:

At the end of the expansion, Fringilla simply leaves to see Emhyr. And you later meet her in Skellige.

Now, the problem is, what about starting the expansion inside your main playthrough with Fringilla in Skellige already? It will be tricky not to create story breakers here.

She and Geralt cant just go back and be like "Wild Hunt has to wait, we gonna have some fun in Touissant".

As both expansions are taking part during the events in W3, it is pretty obvious that Blood and Wine takes part before everyone is in Skellige for the final battle.

I hope they incorporate it well, I do wanna play the expansion within my main game so it has to make sense.

One question, the expansion will take place only in Toussaint? Or also in Novigrad, Oxenfurt...?

Just Toussaint from the tidbit of info we've got about it.
