About signs through the Witcher franchise...
I’m curious since my own experience with signs has been quite versatile from one game to the next with no pattern I can readily analyze.
In TW1, I was basically on Aard most of the time and a bit of Igni, never using Quen, Yrden nor Axii.
In TW2, it was Quen, Quen, Quen forever, quite a lot of Yrden and Aard and just a bit of Igni, and still no Axii.
In TW3, I find myself using Axii a lot this time around, Quen at least once before every encounter and lots of Igni. Aard never except for breaking walls, Yrden only against wraiths.
So in the end, I guess that TW3 does a better job at enticing the player to mix it up, but maybe it’s just because Axii is too successful (basically works 100% of the time on humans and beasts) and the flamethrower is so awesome (best weapon in a game ever?).
Thoughts?
