What do you like more: W1's extremal yet very beautiful and cool moveset!
or W2's less stylised but still awesome moves!

Great topic! I love both games but 1 has way cooler moves in my taste. They are more...'witcheresque', and dare I use the word canon here? 2 was good but I missed the moves from 1, and how you could chain attacks. There was a highlight though: I constantly moved Geralt left before striking an enemy, having his right side facing the enemy. Why? Well the pirouette/spin he does when facing this way is so cool, beautiful and devastating that I couldn't help myself doing it over and over. />/>

Actually, in Blood of Elves some people(no spoilers here) are looking for one Geralt OR Gerald of Rivia, they're just not sure which name it is. :rolleyes:/>

The only thing that I hope has changed in TW3 is the long range attack, I hate how sometimes in TW2 Geralt would be locked onto a target at distance and he'd roll before attacking or do some spinning stuff to cover the distance, but other times it just seemed like he couldn't be bothered and he just swung on the spot. If you can lock onto a target, it should be in range for Geralt to cover the distance quickly and attack or you should not be able to lock to it at all. I also hope for a better and more responsive 'free-aim' with throwing knives and bombs.

Love 'em, miss 'em! Especially how Geralt change sword hands and move it behind and around his back etc. In 1 it actually looks exactly like this when you're fighting. Maybe not the slam dunk that he does on the Golem...but still. :)/>

as far as how they look, i think i liked the first witchers better, but as for playing, i much preferred the second witcher game because it was much more active, whereas in the first it was a much more passive rhythm minigame.

I want geralt's move set exactly as they described the way it would be for the witcher 3. Fast cuts. Allowing complete control over Geralt.

I just hope controls are going to be responsive. Not "five seconds of animation bullshit every time you press a button".
Not really a fan of the "awesome button" syndrome.

Anyway, comparatively, I found the TW2 moveset more likable and less over the top.

I agree. I'd like TW3 to has a moving system a bit similar to the Blade of darknes. One push of the button and one move you gain. If you make 2, 3 or more moves in a row - you'll get a combination of atack moves. Plus CDPR might want to create some specific combo atacks for each kind of a weapon. It might be interesting to see hand-to-hand fight in the battlefield too (not only inside of a tavern).
