Achievements Broken Again After 1.08.1

I'd actually like to hear more about this console disables achievements thing. Do you have to enable the console on the cmdline or in an conf file to be able to bring it up, or can it be opened by default? What key is it on? Is it enough to open it up and closing it again to disable, or do you have to give a [valid] command?

I've never used it, but it it's enabled by default it's certainly possible that I've opened it by mistake at some point.

Hopefully these reports are NOT accurate because trying to protect the 'integrity' of achievements is something that only crazy people do, and I'd like to think that the CDPR devs are actually not crazy and that all this is still due to the interns running the place over the vacation season.

The alternative is just too horrible to consider.

Just wrote another mail to CDPR support and received this answer:

Hello there,

I'm sorry for how you feel about the achievements. All I can say is that we're working on this issue and it will be fixed soon hopefully.
There're thousands of other things that we have to take care of in the game, so that it's even better for all of you.

It's sad, but i lost my hope for a "timely" patch and i think i will now continue my playthrough without achievements before i loose my last bit of motivation to finish this otherwise great game.

Just completed the Therazane contract, should have got the Ashes to Ashes achievement. Nope. It's broken.

No mods except getting rid of the annoying loading screen exposition videos. Running 1.08.3 on GOG Galaxy

Some quests are broken, achievements not working as they should among other issues with the game some major ones included. Meanwhile they're at PAX showing off their broken game, while some of us sit here literally unable to continue playing this game.

can confirm I just beat the game for the 1st time on Death March, didn't get "Passed the Trial" or "Walked the Path" or "Ran the Gauntlet." I did, however, get "The King is Dead."

I'm on my NG+ playthrough and I can confirm I didn't really get any achievement so far. 0 Achievements popped up during my 1st playthrough which was ... annoying. For some reason after 1.08.2 , 37% of the achievements popped up out of sudden, but rest of them still don't work properly.

I don't get it why they even bothered to implement achievements when they simply don't care about maintaining them in a functional state. What is happening here is not typical for CDPR, and I'm deeply disappointed by how they handle it. It's a bad omen for the future...
