Achievements in the Enhanced Edition

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition has been out for Xbox 360 for four days now so we're pretty sure that there are some gamers who have already managed to unlock their fair share of in-game achievements.
How is the unlocking coming along? What are some of your favorite ones? How about the most difficult ones so far? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.

That Poker achievement is way to hard. Fortunately its bugged in the Steam-version, so it gets unlocked, if your opponent gets five of a kind.

Please fix the Poker achievement one, it's almost impossible to get.
On PC (before the Enhanced patch), I got this easily. Always got at least a 4-of-a-kind.

Sigh, if you call doing something necessary to progressing the story an "achievement," then everyone's achieving the very same thing and it ceases to be special in any way. Then again, I hate the idea of achievements and believe that we've all become gluttons for praise to the point where we fabricate meaningless awards to use as ammunition in our egotism-by-proxy wars. You know? The self-righteous one-uppery that some people pretend matters because knocking down a small group of people means elevating themselves? Good times.

So yeah, not really coming from an objective place, but I really did hang my head when beating the Kayran got me an achievement.

Unless they've changed that recently, it doesn't work. They let some people do that for the Russian 1C version as an apology when they screwed something up around when the game first came out, but otherwise it hasn't been possible.

I got the poker achievement on the first day! It was so lucky, five of a kind fives and I wasn't even grinding for it, just playing a dude in Flotsam!

Can you guys fix some of low pixel issues on the background like the pause menu. its kinda weird anybody agree with me?

The achivements are a waste imo. They are like any other "achievement" in games too simple. Beating Witcher 2 on Insane should have been an achievement or defeating the Operator in under 2 minutes.

Just killing the Kayran or making the Kayran armor is well pointless since most people will do that anyway.

Achievements are encouragements especially for those who struggle with a certain task.
Something like Well done, well done
and in other cases a nice gimmick.

I like the 3 in 1 achievement. Get this for killing three guys with one finisher.

Very few of the achievements are meaningful. As others have said, completing obligatory story content should not be an achievement. There are all sorts of skill related things they could've tapped into. They should look at the achievements in SF4. Those are a bearcat to get, and many are separate from trivial things you'd do anyway.

well some people like them and some don`t . Doesn`t matter to me one way or the other . For those that like em "Kudos" for ya and for those that don`t here`s a "Kudos" for ya too !

In a game like this, I think that the best achievements tend to be the ones that encourage you to try something different when you've already played the game several times (like Trollslayer), and the ones that encourage exploration.

I'd like to see a "Fought using every work-item" achievement.

There really aren't any achievements that are well difficult to get except the Insane achievement. Everything else you get by just simply playing which is why I don't care for the Witcher 2 achievements.

As CDPR say many times "We listen to the fans when we make a game." So I'm confident in TW3 we will have achievements which are real achievements. I really appreciate this cos then there are exciting challenges besides the fullfilment of a quest.

Most achievements are for the developers to track player progression, see what they did and how many people completed certain areas; not really for the players to brag about. Not that 'real'/fun achievements hurt a game either.
