[ACT I] Do buffs on weapons stack?

I know in AD&D-based gamesets, weapon/stat buffs don't stack, but it's worth asking here; if I use the whet stone for a +10% and then diamond dust for a +40%, do I get +50% or just the greater of the two buffs?

They don't stack. You get whatever you applied last.

Whatever I appplied last? SO if I applied the diamond dust first, then immediately used the whet stone, I would only get the 10% as opposed to the 40% the dust gave me?That kinda sucks...... ???
