[ACT I] Not helping Zoltan - any consequences?

Are there any long-term consequences for not helping Zoltan? I know short-term he will kill everyone, then say something like "why didn't you help me?" but are there long-term consequences?

The dwarven blacksmith in temple quarter won't deal with you initially I believe. You need recommendation from Zoltan to trade with 'em.

There's something else too - Zoltan says he is looking for a friend who joined the Squirrels and asks you to ask around for him. I haven't pursued completely yet but so far Haren Broog says he'll keep an eye out.. not sure if this is a consequence or if I somehow missed the option before...

What about dice poker, is there someone else who'll explain that game to you than Zoltan - or will he do that later anyway?I think there should be long-term consequences of not helping Zoltan. I've just begun my second play-through and just refused to help Zoltan, but I haven't played much further so I don't know the consequences yet.
