[ACT I] The true order of things

Just another little query on Act 1Busy running around knocking out the quests as they come along - and while doing the quest for Declan whatsisname to find his mate - i take the skull to the crypt and meet up with a big spectre thing (my journal says something about Leo's ghost) - when i re-enter the chapel proper Alvin is there, and tells me the good 'ol Rev is beating up on him.Did a few more bits, then went back to see Abigail. She says to get 5 white myrtle flowers, to make a potion for Alvin, but Alvin is not in her hut.Is there an order to the quests that can't be changed, or do things that happen in-game alter thisthxTJ

I don't think it is terribly important, but I only stumbled on the order you are describing once and have not been able to reproduce it :)you don't perchance remember the order in which you did your quests so far do you ? ... If you do, I can tell you if you have done anything which could negate another quest.

Thx WidowWent back to Abigail to give her the white myrtle - after she said to naff off and let her do her thing Alvin walked in the doorSorry for the bum-steerAs for the order - after speaking to our old friend the Rev, i didn't go straight back to the witch.Went to the inn first to rob a few fistfighters of their orens (very easy money - beatemup, sleep, beatemup, sleep etc etc), and thats when i met Declan, who gave me the quest to find his pal.As it was current i carried it thru, including taking his skull to the crypt. After meeting the Spectre thing Alvin was in the chapel.

At least someones on the case - cos i'm sure as hell i'm not lolJust a very quick questionWhen in battle mode - can you just run to the nearest fire and meditate?i.e. can this be a quick get out if your struggling in the fight.was just a thought - not that its happened YET

i think it is, provided you have enough of a head start on whatever is chasing you. You may not be able to enter meditation mode if they are too close. Also, some things heal while you meditate ... so that's not always the best way. Just plain running away / around in circles works for me when I've been a bit premature about barging into a fight (or just spoiling for one at night ... being c*cky). Geralt heals just as well on the run as he does anywhere and there's almost nothing that can outrun him (Berengar being one notable exception)So my advice (humble as it is) would be to run until you get enough vitality to dive back in, don't meditate ... unless of course you meant something entirely different :)
