Anybody knows the name of his friend? I think it's Hoog. Is there any last name?

Yes, his name is Hoog. If he has a last name nobody mentions it. Zoltan doesn't even tell you Hoog's name...you only learn it if you refuse to help the Socia'tel during the drowner quest.

On my last playthrough I asked Haren about him, and he gave me some blurb, but I can't ask him now - is this an EE problem? Zoltan's asked me to keep an eye out, but no one I talk to has the option of mentioning him. Is this because I've cleared the lake of drowners? Or just a glitch that Haren doesn't want to tell you anything anymore? ???

i do believe it's related to what you do about Haren's goods ... whether or not you get to ask about Zoltan's friend (Hoog, i think)

It's not the Squirrels. It's Haren.

Yeah, I just got the dialogue box form Harem about Hoog. You must have to kill the squirrels to get the dialogue box because the last 2 times I went through this Act in the game I helped them and this is the first Ive heard of Hoog(after killing them/refusing to give them the goods).It's the case of the missing Dwarf!!! I look forward to meeting this elusive character later down the road.Anybody have the specific requirements on how to make sure you meet him?

I'm sorry to say you're doomed to disappointment. I don't think anyone has ever found the mysterious missing Hoog.

Our best guess is that it was originally supposed to be a quest but was never finished.

Maybe CDPR decided to save him for the(hopefully) next game in the series.Maybe Geralt will end up in an all-dwarven town with hot dwarf women to sex. ;D

I found him. I can't remember whether it was in Act II or III, but I'm sure I've seen him. Spoken to him (no mention of Zoltan), helped him out a bit. He was in the sewers, from memory - when Yaevinn asks you to go check out some problems the squirrels are having down there. At least, that's how it was before EE, whether it's the same now.... :-\

Holy crap! 30 times! WOW I usually don't play a game alll the way through more than twice although I have restarted games over and over again if I screw up somewhere along the way just to make sure I play it out without missing some awesome items or quests but, sheesh : You should be the companies official game tester 8) Now we'll all know who to go to for help in the game :-*
