The wiki entries on Vizima Confidential, Suspect: Ramsmeat, and Suspect: Vincent Meis have been updated with some more information which explain certain alternative solutions to dilemmas that seemingly placed the plot at a standstill and prevented moving forward.

I'm on the part where Raymond went off to hide and gave me the list of suspects from Vizima Confidential. The only guy i haven't press on is Leuvaarden since he is considered a suspect only during this pharse. Problem is, i can't talk to him about salamandra, I think because I didn't have the quest Suspect:Leuvaarden, but that quest is suppose to be given to before Raymond went off to hide. Now i finished all side quests, got 9 sephirahs and done everything i could except this main quest. I tried meditate for 3 days running out and in from Dike to temple quarter, but didn't seem to work. Any suggestions?? :hmmm: (Is it because i've went on and done all of the side quests avaible and barely touch the main quest?)

What is your last journal entry in "Vizima Confidential"? Did you already try to contact the imprisoner who is supposed to know about the Salamandra badges as well?

The Witcher Wiki says that you can get all sorts of extra XP by collecting all the available clues before you determine a suspects guilt or innoscence but it does not give you any real info on how to obtain the clues. I am very interested in finding this out if anyone has been able to do this. I was unable to get all the clues on Meis or the Dwarf ex-bank owner becuase I fought the Beast alone and gave the weapons to the elves in Act 1 so I had to do Hot Potatoe and The Rat before I even spoke to Raymond. But would like to get the max xp on the other suspects if that is possible. Please advise if you can. I really like this game but imho the bloodsuckers and the drowners in the swamp get old. You can't swing a dead cat anywhere without running into a stack of them. And the poison from the bloodsuckers is annoying.

I do think i have managed to get all the clues for any given suspect in a single run, but i have never gotten all the clues for all the suspects in a single game run.I think the quests are structured such that you can't quite get all the clues, but you can always get enough to come to a conclusion. The wiki does have most of the information, but not in a single place. you do have to dig.Just having hot potato and the rat early is not a problem, it's when you talk to Raymond that things start being triggered and some paths get closed off. My advice is to do as much as you possibly can /before/ talking to raymond at all. i think you'll get far more of the clues you seek that way :peace:i also have a pretty detailed description of my usual path through most of the acts (i do have one for Act II for sure), so if you are curious, i can send that in a PM -- just send me one if you want itand for the annoying swamp critters, i'd recommend pumping up igni and frying them in large groups ;)

??? What do you mean by a "single game run" game widow? You mean a witcher gaming "session" - non-stop playing spree? Or something else?As for gathering evidence against suspects:As far as I know, you can get all the evidence to directly clear all the suspects but Kalkstein. Only he can be proven totally innocent by eliminating all other "suspects". Once you do so, you realise who is truly the guilty one...

Agreed. Always do as much as you can before meeting raymond. It really simplifies things, and avoids problems in the investigation later. I also prefer proving Thaler's innocence manually, rather than via the autopsy / graveyard evidence. The dialogue is hilarious.

I meant in one playthrough of the game, prologue-epilogue ;) :peace: -- and i did say that this is all *i* managed to do :)... and agreed, love Thaler's response ;D

Thanks for the igni advice, i will certainly try it. Time for a swamp visit. One more question though. Does it matter that i found Raymonds body and am pretending to go along with the need for an autopsy because i have saved it both ways. Will this cut some of the quests off"?

No. Finding Raymond should give you the alternative to skip the autopsy, but that's a fun part so I wouldn't. And you can clear all your suspects before the final for some XP.

The final and closing phase of this case is your encounter at the mysterious tower in the swamp. This will close the chapter. So if you have other quests open or things to settle you should finish everything before this "visit" ;)

I have a general question here. Ok, first of all, in Chapter 1, I let the Squirrels go with the stuff. In Chapter 2, I've not visited Raymond, yet, but I've talked to Coleman a couple of times, completed The Rat, even, and I was wondering if it's possible to wait to start the rest of the suspects until after the placement of the Sephirot, or most of them, and all the other side quests that there are. Some advice on taking care of drowners and the bloodsuckers, is to build up your group attack, with the silver sword, and also use a either a whetstone/grindstone or the Cenifeld Oil. Or however that's spelled. Take them on in large groups, use Swallow, Tawny Owl, and even Wolf, if you can make it, which you should be able to do by now. Anyway, large groups, using the silver sword with an additive, and using potions should help win the day.

you could probably collect most of the sephirot, but not all of them ... but the investigation basically /is/ Act II so putting that off doesn't really make that much sense to me. I only put things off long enough to be able to do all the quests, and that basically boils down to not talking to raymond until you are well and truly done with coleman :peace:

I played the game 3 timesNow , on the 4.playing, I can't prove REYMOND is actually Azar. I know the detective's body is in the Crypt, but now I went in and it was not there! The medallion is vibrating so much , and in addition I killled Ramsmeat for exp&gold! ALL I NEED is to discover the poor guy's body. What was the way to do it??? :wall:

Does the medallion vibrate near "Raymond" and does he have fisstech on his table. If so, it's strange indeed. If not, my guess is that you haven't advanced the main quest enough for the actual Raymond to be killed yet. Anyway, my suggestion is to try to advance it anyway: you don't have to find Raymond's body to go on.
