Aaaah, what a clever little sausage you are... Gotta admit, that is real good :beer:I never knew this, but then again... I almost never use potions to deal with anything other than the final Boss, just for fun. :peace:

The only potions I use are Swallow, Cat and Tawny Owl.I don’t even know how to make a bomb so I never buy any scrolls for them.I wish we had some of the better weapons armor and powers before the end of the last chapter as there is not enough time to enjoy using them before the game is at an end.

Oils are my soft spot; every time I know what an enemy is I always get my sword coated before taking them down, even if it's just one lousy wraith.Cat/Swallow/Thunderbolt is the typical mix I use, and I always carry White Honey & Wives' Tears in case something happens; other than those I don't use many potions. Black Blood is the only exception but even then that one gets used fairly rare.

You take a White Gull Nigredo? I thought White Gull made Geralt tipsy, but that's based on hearsay; I've never had him just drink White Gull. It doesn't affect him?Couldn't you get the same effect by starting with a Nigredo White Honey, then adding the other potions after that?

Well, Geralt does get the special effect when under the influence... so I guess it could be worth it. I'm almost at the Beast again, and I'm gonna try everything newI learned these couple of weeks... man, it's gonna be fun. :peace:

You could use white honey/nigredo ... but it's bad for me since I always have tawny effect on.I don't use white honey at all. I'll just meditate for an hour or two after taking a tawny owl if I want to reduce toxicity.Or if I want to stack potions, tawny owl/albedo, then a whole lot of long duration potions, meditate 1 hour, then a shorter potion/albedo, etc.White gull is just like any other alcohol ... it'll make Geralt drunk. But one drink doesn't impair his fighting at all (that I notice anyway .. being primarily a sign caster).

White Gull is actcually a hallucinogenic Witcher elixir, some kind of drug. The Witchers also have Black Gull which is a hallucinogenic Witcher potion as well. They drink it on cold (boring) Winter nights at Kaer Morhen to ease themselves and just... well, what you get when you take drugs  ;DThe old peasant woman wants the White Gull just because of these effects to relieve the boy's (her son? don't remember) suffering.

I didn't try White or Black Gull nor marjuana to make a comparison ;D
At the beginning of 'Blood of Elves' when Triss visits the witchers at Kaer Morhen to find out what's special about Ciri, they drink Black Gull... Triss as well to reach a certain level of consciousness to communicate with Ciri or find out about her abilities.
Cheers

Indeed!I'd rather try the Black\white gull instead of any another nasty drugs :dead:Sapkowsky rocks! Thanks Petra! You see, since in my country Sapkowsky's series has not been published yet, i didn't know these things. Ok, i'm really envious of those of you who already read them.....
