Act II - Old friend of mine bug?

I started the party, and when I must go down and take something from the grandma's stuff I cant take nothing cause I already took the stuffs (liquor and food of grandma) a lot of time before, one of the time I went to talk with Shani..I thought that I could finish the wuest anyway (i have the quest's item) but the ppl at the party dont talk with me, saying again that I need to go down and take something from grandma stuffs..What can I do? pls help me..thanks ^^..

Who did you invite to the party? It must be Carmen by what you described and she wants to see Grandma's Diary. You got the lard and pickels , grandma's cordial , but not the Diary go back and find it.

I have apparently run into a similar problem:I can't seem to get this quest to progress beyond "The Discussion" journal entry.I've already picked up all three of Granny's items (Pickles and Lard, Granny's Cordial, and Granny's Diary) well before the Autopsy Quest.I invited Zoltan to the party, and at some point, the only options I have are: Drink by talking to Dandelion, Talk about the battle with Shani, and clicking on Zoltan causes a cutscene that immediately terminates but provides no progression.I've tried saving (at that point) and reloading, nothing. Going back to several earlier saves, and no difference. About the only thing I haven't tried is inviting someone other than Zoltan.Anyone have any ideas?

What is in the cutscene? Actually you should have dialogue options with Zoltan about drinking pace and quantity until he wants Geralt (meanwhile drunk) to get Grandma's lard.

There's nothing in the cutscene. The game behaves like it is going to go to a cutscene (the fades out to black), but the cutscene immediately terminates and fades back in.

Have you got latest patch? Cause on previous there was some little bugs. Or ewentually try to load previous savegame.

I've got version 1.4.5.1304....And I've tried loading previous saves (going back about halfway into Act 2), with no change.

I've tried going to the party after the autopsy, and without doing the autopsy (after digging around in the cemetary).

You have no choice but toi complete the autopsy, and THEN go to the party. Depending on who you've invited; Zoltan, Carmen or Zigfried, the choice remains the same, you will be asked to get stuff from downstairs. Geralt is the only person that will be able to go down and get the items; pickles & lard, the diary or the cordial liquor. Once he returns, whomever was invited will ask if he got it, and then should progress from there...Doing the party BEFORE the autopsy is not possible...the game is on path, and it won't let you do the party...Samuri

Hmm, since you've taken all of the stuff, the diary should be in your inventory. Look in your quest items, it should be there. The first time I played the game, I took all of the stuff before the party and when Carmen asked me for the diary I found it in my inventory in my quest items section.

I've completed the autopsy. I got the alcohol. Quest log states to talk to Shani but there's no option for the party in her dialog.

You should have the journal entry "I have the alcohol. Now to get it to Shani." You may not have the booze called for when you talk to Shani. Check your inventory: you should have exactly Temerian Rye, Cherry Spirit Cordial, and Mettina Rose. Shani will not accept substitutes.

Yes, I have that entry which is why I went to talk to Shani. Is it a problem if I have more than one of each? I've tried talking to her at home (dawn, dusk, night) but she doesn't mention anything. Is there a specific time of day/night?EDIT: I'm a goofball! I checked my inventory and realized one of the items was still stored with the innkeeper. Quest progression has continued! Thanks!

Glad you got it sorted out. Yeah, I get too used to the "quest item" handholding, and make the same goofs, "What ever did I do with those flowers? I could have sworn I had 'em right here in my... Cholera, I gave 'em to the hooker outside Kalkstein's."
