[ACT II] Ramsmeat key confusion

Hi,Have i made a huge mistake?i have to kill ramsmeat but i can't get into his house becuase i killed the 2 guards before i was acutally sopose to kill them for the key and i don't have the key to ramsmeats house and the guards aren't to be seen. Went back many times at night at different times and still no guards. Anyone got any ideas?

You don't HAVE to kill Ramsmeat. You just think you do.....

You may find him in the back room of the Hairy Bear. After several attemps I find him there...

So what am i sopose to do then?

I think new guards are supposed to spawn if you didn't kill Ramsmeat yet. You can also bribe them.

yes i know that but they don't respawn

i have no other choice i must kill ramsmeat. I've looked everywhere now he is never wandering from his house to the inn nor is he in the inn.Lame....i'm not starting the game again

Who said you have to kill Ramsmeat? ;DHow far are you in Act 2? Did you finish the autopsy? Did you get the result the probable suspects are Ramsmeat, Kalksteen and Raymond? I don't know if it works... go into the crypt (cemetery) and find the corpse of the true dective Raymond. This should expose that Kalkstein and Ramsmeat are innocent and you dont' have to talk to Ramsmeat. Next step would be to prepare with Kalksteen an entrapment for the false Raymond... and so on.

Yeah, the same thing happened to me. Maybe you stored the key to ramsmeat house somewhere in your warehouse. If you killed the guards that guard his door and loot their bodies they both have keys.

well i made ramsmeat the suspect and raymond has told me to kill ramsmeat

My warehouse? as in my bank? like the one in the inn?

Yeah, but are you sure you looted the dead bodies of the guards you killed ? If i remember correctly the key showed up as a quest item to me.

Well im sure i picked it up because after i did i went into his house and if its a quest item i shouldnt of been able to have dropped it

okay... you have 3 alternatives... ;D1) patiently visit the back room of the Hairy Baer again, again and again... until you find Ramsmeat there2) start again from the autopsy and decide for an other conclusion, which is not Ramsmeat as suspect3) take an other earlier save when the guards were alive and take the key after you killed them

But that is the main quest and there are no other main quests i can do

Yes because previously you find out Ramsmeat is a suspect, hence Raymond wants you to kill him. You may repeat the autopsy with an earlier save to get an other suspect. Or... did you check when you talk to Raymond if Geralt has a dialogue option "I killed Ramsmeat" though you didn't (its a lie ]:-> ) Choose that and go on with the quest.
