[ACT II] Salamander Brooches *Probable Spoilers*

I'm way into Chapter 2, and I've cleared everyone except Leuvaarden. The problem is I sold all my Brooches to his messenger, and now he asks me for 3 more in order to gain his trust. I had killed all the assassin's roaming the streets, and now there are no Salamander baddies to be found. Anyone knows how to deal with this problem????

Just walk the streets at midnight, you'll find the answer.

First of all thanks for the quick reply. And I have been walking around at night... I've found a Ghoul, a Fleder, but no thieves whatsoever... I've been meditating to pass an hour and trying again throughout the whole town, but alas, nothing...

They're in the nonhuman district at night. Called 'assassins'. They carry fisstech and salamander badges, both of which you'll need.

You can also just move along the main quest - you'll encounter few salamandras.

They stop coming out at night, the assassins. So if you need more you might be stuck -- the design of this quest is bad if you didn't know you needed to save 3.

Same problem here... No more assassins, not even in de dodgy ereas. Don't know how to go on with the main quest because the detective is gone.... so it might be hard to get the 10th stone.

I've got this trouble as well, the assassins in my game still spawn, but they don't drop salamander badges! Just Weapons, fisstech and orens.

Wait, how did you sell the brooches to the messenger? He just told me to p*** off whenever I asked about who's buying them. I gave him drink and he pointed me to Leuvaarden so I went straight to him. After getting 300 for 3 brooches the messenger was gone for good. Now I have a ton of them in my inventory and no way to get rid of them? Doh...

Don't try to get any info from him. Use the last option Drink with me? Then instead of drinking, say Farewell. Then immediately speak with him again, and tell him you want to sell a badge. That's how to sell your basges to him. But make sure any you want to keep (the three for leuvaarden) are not in your inventory, as he automatically pays you for, and takes from you, any badges in your inventory when you say you want to sell a badge.

having the same issue.it'd be nice to see a fix for this in the future.-_-I hope I don't have to restart my game. that'd be unfortunate.

No need to complete this quest - you'll miss out on a little money, but you won't need to restart the game. Just continue with the other quests and ignore this one.

Iguess i was lucky on that one, i got old my brooches sold to the guy and then realised that leuwaarden needed three of them...first I was really to reload but finally I got more on the salamander attaquing around. not all of them will have brooches but after a while I got three.

other than the random assassins, there are also triggered events that spawn some salamander "meat" for you to chew on. first time you visit the detective, you leave at midnight and there is a group of salamanders there. later in your investigation, when it is time to talk to the detective again, there will be another group attacking him in his office. both of these groups can drop badges and fisstech.i believe also that it is salamanders that are "harassing" Carmen's girls, and they have a chance to drop.I think that's about it, though, for ch2.

Oh crap, I think I've lost all my chances to get those 3 brooches now: the detective has left and there are no Salamandra thugs wondering the streets. Can you find any Salamandra brooches at that point? If not, is there a some sort of "item generator" hack so that I could just spawn three brooches in my inventory to advance that side quest. :-[ :-[ :-[

You can try the non-human area, near the dead end. Which is located after the dwarfen smithy. Assassins appear from one of the house's or sometimes outside Shani's place.

Seems that when you reach a certain level, no more thug spawn but vampires instead. So i'm in the same case, not possible to end the quest and reach cemetary. Of course i can finish chapter 2 but can't do all quest related, such as the one with Shany ...Is there any way to get brooches even by cheating? I have given so many brooches to the messenger (and you sell al in one hit) it was making gold and space, that i found this a litte weird to be blocked cause you can't give 3 more brooches to levander ...I can surely find some more in the warhouse but it's close to me, even if it's indicated in red on the map and no way to find the key.

The warehouse door will be unlocked at midnight.
