[ACT II] The Order Meets The Golem
Or the pylons, to be exact. I wasn't sure whether to post this here or in Easter Eggs...I'm on my third play-through of the game, having followed different paths each time. This time around, I decided I'd strictly stick to being Seigfried's friend. When I reached the part where I had to choose between backing the Order or the Scoiatel in the swamp, I stumbled over this amusing by-product of my decision to side with the Order. I did a cursory search and didn't find anything that compares to this, so I hope I'm not out of line here. The following may contain spoilers if you haven't yet played this far.

Having decided to be Seigfried's friend through thick and thin, I agreed to lead his men to the Golem grounds and wipe out the Scoiatel. We accomplished this without a single loss and, as I looted the Scoiatel corpses, I accidentally clicked on a nearby pylon. As there was no storm in the swamp at that moment - the area was merely overcast with a heavy layer of cloud - I was surprised when lightning lit up the pylon. A light bulb illuminated in my mind, and I activated the other pylons, resulting in the agonizing deaths of the Order guards who had accompanied me against the Scoiatel. Oh, the humanity! Screams filled the swamp as I happily raced around the pylons, activating them whilst clueless Order knights blindly chased me to a humiliating death. I was literally laughing out loud at my desk as I circled the pylons, merrily frying the naive, trusting knights. In the end it was the best of both worlds - I kept Seigfield as a friend, and got to loot the wealthy Order guards (those cheap squirrels had nothing by daggers...) I'm now going to see if I can kill the Golem without asking the druids for a storm.Update: While I could fry the Knights with the pylons, It seems I DO have to talk to the druids to activate the golem. Darn.
