[ACT III] Blue eyes (House of Ill Repute)

Im at a crossroad here!.I cant decide what is right here in this quest, so id like to know what u guys did. Will either of the options with the Lady of the Night/Blue-Eye quest impact the main quest later or anything like that?.Lady of the Night apperantly knew a friend of Geralt, okidoki! Should she live on that account?.If i pick her side and kill the Order, well, Geralt seem to regret having done so in the end...And if i choose to side with the Order, the Lady says the real Geralt would never back down on his word.. Or i just kill her without taking her offer... But then i dont get any loving. ;D

I killed the vampires myself. I didn't find any noticeable change in the game at any point.

I let her live and after talking to blu eyes again, she was thankfull. Obviously her brother really was an asshole. And getting the card is always nice in this game :).

To be honest with this mission, I really didn't want to kill the vampires when they hadn't really done anything, but I didn't want to sleep with them either(talk about fugly in their real forms..other than their figures lol). So in the end I slept with her "daughters" then said that I didn't really want to after the brother walked in. This meant that everyone died...Blue Eyes was not happy with me, but I had completed the mission once before, and she asked for her brother to be killed, so I'm not too guilty about it. It's a Witcher's obligation to protect humans, so I think it was the best thing to do really. Her brother clearly was an arse, but I don't think I could have left the vampiresses without feeling un-Witcher like.

If you choose the "neutral" path they'll kill each other (or you can kill them both for the xp) Even if you're pro order killing Patrick won't change anything, and you can still ge the card and then let them beat each others brains in... Morally speaking, The vampires don't kill anyone and the knights do.... make of that what you will...

I Also went down the Neutral path, after a slept with the Vamps.....Everybody dies....then talk to Blue eyes....who then rants at you, but gives you the only thing you care about.... 500 gold coins....At least you get your money back...and I feel a cleaner conscience. They were all bad....

If you don't kill the Lady and Children of the Night, and you do defend them against the Knight, you will receive a true gem of wisdom from the Lady. Her advice is applicable to many other choices you have to make in the game.I resolved the whole thing in my mind on the following basis:[pre] (i) I only promised to intervene if the Knight's sister was under a spell (she wasn't), (ii) I explained to the Knight that his sister was there by choice, and not because of a spell; (iii) I offered the Knight the chance to walk away, but he chose to attack me and the ladies; and (iv) I did a replay in which I took a Black Blood Potion (Turns the imbiber's blood into poison; blood becomes lethal to monsters which drink it), before talking with the ladies. They didn't die afterwards so I concluded they didn't drink Geralt's blood.[/pre]__

True but than Geralt knew (or should have remembered) this since dealing with Abigail in Chapter I. There and no "good" choices in this game the best you can hope for is to choose "lesser evil".

She actually says more than that -- She warns Geralt to be wary of greater evils "lurking in the darkness". And that's the thing about this game; choosing the lesser of the visible evils may still throw the player into the arms of greater evil later on...

HOKAY!This quest does not affect future decisions or options in the game, therefore the best option is the one that reaps the most profit. In this case that means staying neutral. Sleep with the vampire, then choose the "does not concern me" option in the following dialog. Slaughter everyone (feel free to cackle madly with delight) and enjoy the loot. This will net you:The "Lady of the Night" card500 orens from Blue EyesHoly Sword of the Order (Sells for 100)The Jewelery off of the vampires and the lady (all sells for a total of about 350)Loose change off the soldiers. In total over 1000 orens profit plus a card, versus 200 profit for siding with the vampire or jack squat for siding with the knight, not a hard choice imo ;D ;D ;D

I decided not to intervene but only to talk. I saw that the Knight was outrageous because he could not understand his sister's decision. If anyone knows her it his him and I trusted that he, as outrageous as he was, had just his sister's best interest in mind. So I talked to the Vampires, who did not really care about the girl but rather supported her decision since it obviously suited their interests in running a brothel. They then sucked her blood to learn about her motivation. What they had learned from her they now used to defend their interest. Since that is rather stupid - if they were as liberal as they had claimed they would not need to suck on her to learn about her motivation - I answered just as stupidly that I, as a witcher, slay monsters for business. I figured that they were only using here and now were trying to intimidate me. They had no concerns about the girl's family or friends who might be missing her. However, I never kill without a reason and therefore the choice I make does not have to end with death. They charged and died ;DI was surprised by the girl's response. She really was not under any spell but rather a spoiled girl that ran away from home. She hated me for now having to deal with a new situation, and walked away again, most likely as she did before when she walked away from home. The Knight acted stubborn, still in disbelieve. In the end they all got what they had coming for them: A f*cking witcher! ;)PS: And I do not f*ck vampires!!

Therefore, I think his lady should be not bad too, she loved him, so she shouldn't do something

That is wrong! She may have been a good vampire once but that does not make her good forever. And if you think she is the wife a good friend why did you then choose to have sex with her? ;)Vampires are not average monsters. They are smooth talkers and know quite well how to influence you. They were however afraid of the witcher Geralt and when they had no other choice they decided to attack. If you let them live, which you can only do once you know how the choices end, you have given in to their deception. Is this what a witcher does?

Not what a witcher does. However, Geralt has done a lot of things witchers do not do.

okay... I feel bad now, that I sleeped with them :D And still, as tlazolteotl said - Geralt does lots of things that witcher do not do. He plays the delivery boy in some quests, and thats not what witchers do :)

Well, it is you who defines what a witcher does and what not. You do not need to play the game with an attitude in mind like I do. Delivery jobs however are not a problem. Just as in real life one cannot expect to always be given the world's greatest tasks. Sometimes it has to be a small job, which is better than no job. My Geralt then has been bad a couple times now. He frequently slays stray dogs and just for fun, because no one cares about them. Personally - I once had a dog myself - found the gravedigger's quest pretty mean, but then I thought that I should be happy that I do not need to eat dogs in this game so I killed a few. Now, since no one cares about these dogs, and they give grease for blade coatings (...), I occasionally slay one for fun. And my Geralt f*cked a plant! I could not resist but convinced the dryad that sex is generally good (did she really not know?) and got a green card now :p. Evil, but I did not reload and just took it as a consequence *giggle*Sven

You are right Whisperwind. Lady of the Night doesn't kill people, there is no vampire curse on Blue Eyes and her brother was brutal SOB. So who is a bigger monster?sdack - you don't have to kill dogs to get Dog Tallow and it is the crappiest blade grease there is. But since you are doing it for fun why stop there? There are cats, chickens, mices and frogs you can slay. Have a blast!

Liar! She does attack when you give her the wrong answer. Just as you do not like my answers and are now coming for me. You could not have made a better example ;DSven
