after i killed the prof i ran as fast as i could and blasted the first set of supports. this seem s to stop the queen from coming through and chasing you from behind, giving you time to kill the the other kikimores in front. Be careful not to go back to where the queen is because she will come out. Nopw take on the kikimores one at a time, sometimes they come in groups especially the workers. If you kill all the workers and then take on the warrioir kikimores one will always respawn from the ground. Now I cast the shield/barrier sign and run like hell into the lair with supports and making sure the queen chases me and then i run into the pasage on the right of the map. blast the support as soon as you get past it but make sure you are not within range of the rocks falling on your head. I found this to be effective after doing it like 5 times. ; 8)

Ok, as the title implys you're obviously not gonna kill her (in fact she dont even take dmg) If you already know how it's supposed to be done, but dont get the hang of it skip to "solution".Step 1. Run past the queen and into the tunnel, turn around (using F by default) and charge up the Aard sign, making the ceiling fall in. [iI]t make take a few tries. The first time I did this i made the ceiling bury me ^^[/I]Step 2. Continnue running down the hallway. Hold ALT to see the corpse to your left. Loot it for a rune, and then use Aard sign again on the supports you just passed.Step 3. Further down the hallway there will be an opening with a few kikkimores *Do not* engage them. Make sure to use Aard sign as swiftly as you possibly can to bring down the supports.Final step. Ok, this is where everyone seems to fail. Its the easiest part really. The trick is to really stand away from the support pillar (The one supported by blueish stones) It's hard to describe how far. But start with exaggerating. Thats what I did. Then continnue into the next opening and Stay there. The queen will come rushing at you, and the ceiling will rush down on her ^^Hoped this helped. Solution:The trick is to really stand away from the final support pillar when using Aard. And charge it FULLY.

Take a BLIZZARD-POTION before. I was too slow in my first few tries... - with Blizzard-boosted reflexes you have lots of time (for all those who don't have natural PvP reflexes...)

I thought I'd chip in here for the reason that I found this a total pain to get through. I must have spent about an hour trying to get past this point and reloaded about thirty times. In the end it was quite simple. I just used the time honoured method as mentioned by the OP, but I'll expand a little. You have four sets of supports to collapse - it's important that you do all four since this will affect how quickly the kikimores come and find you, it seems to be inbuilt in the game. It seems that if you leave one set out, they come quicker. So do them all regardless.So1 - Run under the first support, turn round, shoot it with the aard. When you see it dropping, run to the second set.2 - Collapse the second set [of course you have to be slightly in front of it], don't wait for the queen, just do it anyway. Loot the corpse if you feel you have time, but you don't have to. It's really important that you collapse the first two even if you feel you don't need to since the kikimores will come a lot slower at you if you do this. 3 - Run into the main cave area ahead, you will see the kikimores spawning. Turn around and collapse the third set. 4 - Run to the right, avoiding all the kikimores, wait till you're slightly ahead of the final support [it should be obvious which it is] and charge your aard fully. Direct it at the last support and wait for the cave to collapse. Don't worry, it won't collapse on you no matter how long you wait and even if it's all shaking around you. Sorry if I'm just reiterating stuff but this part of the game really isn't that hard. If you just do all the supports in sequence it is a lot easier. I found the kikimores got in the way too soon, stopping me from succeeding. They come a lot slower if you collapse all the supports behind you, even if you feel it's not necessary.

To those who died when the cave collapsed on the Queen, this was happening to me also. I was doing the same thing over and over, which was waiting for the queen to show up and then zap the support. Don't do this. After the third support is done, run run run to the end of the cave. Turn. Aard the main support. Don't expect the cave to collapse. Don't wait to see the queen. Run run Run along the corridor to the very back and wait there. The cave collapses as the queen almost passes out of it into the corridor. Then you can safely go back and loot her.I recommend the suggestion made here of collapsing the second support, then taking your time to loot the body and kill kikkimores. F5 frequently while you're doing this. It is a convenient place to reload from. Just remember as an earlier poster said, don't use Aard to fight the kikkimores. And, don't back up to the rubble where the queen is. She'll kill you through the rubble. Ya, been there, done that!Another strong recommendation. When the roof collapses and kills the queen, immediately do a hard save. The game crashed on me after the tunnel cinematic. Hope this is helpful.

Okay..after many reloads, I got the three supports to collapse....But then I get message that "I should gut the beast to get the info" etc, only.. the kikimore queen isn't dead.. she's just stuck. And the game won't advance without her being dead and me getting the remains? And what supports in the big cave am I suppose to collapse? It isn't obvious to me. :(I'm getting pretty frustrated.... *sigh* any help would be appreciated.thanks,-Tyger-

This is odd. It took me three tries without looking at this before. Is it really "that" hard?

The thing is, the Queen pretty much does as she pleases, sometimes she'll rip up the barricades, sometimes she won't, sometimes she's blocked by her progeny. This is why I say bust down the first two from BEHIND before you get swarmed with workers and warriors, and let her do the work for you in clearing the path; just make sure you back off after she busts through and run a wide circle to get distance as you finally go through.

I drop the first two ceilings. Then I fight trough the workers and warriors. I drop the third ceiling but no matter how far back in the tunnel I go I get killed by the falling ceiling. Any thoughts anyone?

Make sure you're past the chest before it collapses, use aard from as far away as possible.

I'm stuck in the cubbyhole and I've hit the queen 30+ times with aard and igni and nothing does any damage. What does it take to damage the damn thing. This is REALLY OVERPOWERED TO THE MAX! Please, any help will be fully appreciated.

I found the blizzard potion made this a lot easier. Drink it just after the cut scene where the Kikimore Queen reappears. You now have time to run into the hall without worrying about collapsing the supports behind you. There's more time to dodge the other Kikimores and more time to avoid the falling ceiling when you collapse the main support.

I did this without any additional potions, and with no real fighting, just have to run ahead, and pay attention to what Geralt says as he runs through the tunnel. Took me a couple tries to get the timing right, but all it takes is the right use of aard, you need to kill the Queen to continue, and you will want to check the remains (plus the chest on the way out).

Can I just have a bit of clarification with what people are saying here?I fall through the roof of the cave and there's a short cut scene. The Kikimore queen goes back underground. After that I'm free to wander around the cave a bit without her coming back - there's a chest next to me that I can loot. Is this the chest people are talking about? Then I run across the cave. When I get near the tunnel at the other side there's another short cut scene and she reappears, then I run under the supports and Geralt wonders aloud about breaking them...Then I'm in a tunnel filled with Kikimore workers. I can't move through them or jump over them, so I just have to stand there slashing at them until the queen comes up behind me and kills me. How do I get past these workers?

I ALWAYS tend to question any designer that sees the need to embrase the encounter with the one shot kill. This is, in my mind the hall mark of BAD game design it's generally followed by the " You must do X>Y>Z" to get out of the sudden death situation as is the case here.Basically, you can have 50-100 well designed perfectly balanced encounters in a game but just one of these makes the whole product totally worthless in my estimation. Employ some decent designers and writers unless you want people to remember the one BAD piece of design which TOTALLY spoils the otherwise polished product that you have here.

You cant kill the queen in normal combat. no way. this is a lvl 100+ or so beast and 1 shots you.Only strategy is keeping running ahed and collapsing the supporters with aard after you pass them...you have to be fast and clear a way thru the zillions of workes and warrios which block your way out.. use insectoid oil and silver group,,... I was 1-2 shotting them fast with this setup. oh and have swallow+twanny up too or you wont survive. After you kill a few try and move forwar fast , best way is to jump above them... watch your back all the time , the queen is there and coming for you.I have found a good way to buy some time.. I jump above a few workers and leave the ones behind me unkilled.. this way they block the queens way and she cant get to me..once you manage to get to the end of the tunnel you need to collapse the big cave on top ..this will kill the queen and all of the rest of the damn critters..Good luck.. this is prety tough.. took me like 6-7 tries to suceed :-\

How do I jump? I've been trying for AGES, but Geralt won't move to get past them. I can run past enough of them in the corridor to keep the queen off my back, but then he won't move and I can't jump. I've tried both forward-jump (WW) and sideways too (AA or SS) but no luck - is there any trick to getting him to jump!?Thanks for your help :)
