Trophy quests (two per chapter) should only be done one at a time. That is, if you want full experience and money for them, you have to hand in one trophy before you go out to complete another trophy quest.I suggest loading to where you got white fang. Turn that one in, and then go back out to complete the other quest.

Items you have dropped usually disappear when you leave the location. I have noticed corpses containing items remaining for a while, but I'm not sure whether this behaviour is consistent (and I certainly wouldn't risk it with a corpse containing a quest item). Since you can only carry one trophy, I strongly recommend doing the trophy quests one at a time.

I notice that as well. Those corpses that are already there when you arrive, are like chests and barrels. They are part of the surroundings and you can usually come back to them later but only in the same chapter. But to be sure, I wouldn't leave anything of value on them either. ;)

I encountered a similar problem and had to load game. Later I realised that to make corpses persist, you have to search them without taking everything. If you kill the wolf, you must search, leave the trophy there, go drop the other trophy and return. Corpses that are not searched dissapear in my games when travelling between areas. Strangely, after I forgot to give the wolf trophy to the Huntsman, after 1 day I ran into the wolf again and found that the trophy had dissapeared from my inventory.

You can chuck quest items like animal heads on the floor they never disappear, at least that's how it works for me.

Where is this guy? People say he's north of the golem cemitary but I can't see him. I swept the entire area in dawn, day, dusk and night... nothing, please help!

He tends to run with some other wolves, so even if you don't see his name, check out any clusters of wolves you see. The last time I saw him, he was where the hunter's and girlfriend's bodies are.

I've found him all around the Golem cemetery, but mostly to the east and south. If you don't mind wasting a bit of game time, just go to the area with the pillars in the Golem cemetery and hang out until Voref and his gang shows up ... they will, without a doubt :)

He can be anywhere between the Druid Grove, Ruined Tower and Golem Cemetery. In my game, he didn't even attack me -- he and his pack walked right past me non-aggressively. I had to pull out my sword and attack them manually, which kinda made me feel bad. :p

Am I doing something wrong? Every time I kill Voref, it takes quite a long time hacking with a steel sword to finish the giant wolf off. Am I using the wrong sword, or is that monster just tough? (mind you, its attack is weak).

The steel sword is correct for animals, and Voref IS a trophy monster, and those are supposed to be tough. Have you tried using an oil?

It took me a while to kill him too - until I realised I was using the wrong style. Quick key tap, a couple of good hits later, and that trophy's hanging from my hook and I'm off to get my orens ;) I personally didn't use an oil, but that's entirely up to you.
