[ACT IV] Armor (Quest)

i'm in act IV and i still have studded leather jacket (with only one potion slot). shouldn't i have found a better armor by now? i could've bought an excellent leather jacket in vizima but it was too expensive (i never had 5000 orens on me). now i'm searching for the raven's armor (searched in two crypts, in lakeside and in the fields, but haven't found it yet)...but i'm guessing the raven's armor is the best armor in the game (with three slots)...or am i wrong?

Yes it is the best armor, but you only really get it in Act V.I think the blacksmith's son at the village sells the excellent leather jacket as well though unless memory fails me.

You mean the blacksmith's son not the blacksmith, yes?No matter, you'll be just fine without it. You get a nice new steel sword at least. Act IV is rather light on combat, and you can get Raven's armor fairly early in Act V

Do the raven armours look different aesthetically, apart from the stats? There are 3 different Raven armours, depending who you side with, and I was wondering if they actually look different from each other when you wear them.If so, can anyone supply pictures? I've been looking on google but I found only one picture, and it's the same armour as I had.Thanks.

They do look different on Geralt, but the differences are not staggering. Personally, i like the armour fashioned on the neutral path the best :)

I think this is an in-game cutscene Geralt wearing Kalkstein's version of Raven's Armor... better than nothing ;)

Try standing a bit closer. If you get it wrong, Geralt will tell you that this is not the right combo.

I've had problems with one of the stones as well (but it was the one in the southern refugee cave), it did eventually work ... just keep trying (rest if you have to)

According to the EE Guide ...
... there are two things to get in Act IV: a piece of armor and notes from an Elven minstrel. I found the armor piece. There are only two crypts, but there are indications that (as has happened before) parts of the crypt will be expanded depending on other phases or even other quests or accidental dialog. (A Bruza and Alp and something else behind crypt walls, that sort of thing.) I can't find the notes. I've talked to Berengar, the village blacksmith and the elven craftsman. The phase is in the journal. All the sarcophagi in The Crypt in the Field are empty.
Am I missing something painfully obvious?Note for 'purists': I play through on my own, then double check to make sure I haven't missed anything. Linus was my favorite character.
