I'm afraid not. But it's a minor thing, really. Alina is the important person here, and with her salvation, the quest is complete. I'm guessing that, were that part of the quest not broken, you would only receive praise from Julian after reporting about Celina, but not much else. So don't worry about it. :)

I know it, I just wanted to get the best ending for it. I generally like to be the nicest guy around in games. :p

Hehe, me too. I only rest easily because I know Celina is saved, even though the game engine doesn't recognize it, and even though Julian never finds out. I saw Celina-nightwraith disappear with my own eyes! ;)

I found a problem with this quest that Dandelion does no show up to meet Alina...But I fount the cause of the problem. If you talk to Dandelion BEFORE you talk to Abigail her dialog option does not come up.Therefore you stuff up the quest BIG time since Dandelion will not show up at the rasberry patch.

No, this is what -I- did, and since Julian (?) is kinda non-specific about who to ask for advice, I checked around with other NPCs, and found out that the Lady of the Lake can tell you what to do next, since Abagail doesn't know .. so .. er .. once you talk to The Lady, you're fine .. Am I missing something, or is this just a player misunderstanding, and not a real "problem" or bug? :)

Well, I finished the game this last night, 3 o clock in the morning almost!Besides that small bug, I also noticed that:
If Berengar gets killed by Azar in the battle at the end of chapter V, the game updates the Berengar's Secret quest wrongly telling me I've found Berengar and should speak to him, instead of finishing it. In fact, the quest never finishes. I wasn't able to finish the battle without letting him die because I was in a kind of hurry to finish the chapter, even though I retried the battle some 3 or 4 times.
Guess the REDs still need to patch the game a little bit. I've also experienced a lot of random crashes throughout the game, often it would just stop and windows would say that The Witcher stopped working, others, I would start experiencing bizzarre graphical gliches until I used the task manager to kill the application. I should report this on some specific topic around here...

In the "Heat of the Day" quest, I'm supposed to find 5 mirror fragments. I've found four and the map indicator says that the last piece is at the Old Mill. But when I go, there's nothing there. I've gone at noon, at night, but nothing ever happens. I've killed a couple zillion noonwraiths and a couple "evil brides" (I can't remember what they're called.) This is a game-stopping bug for me. Any ideas? Am I supposed to be able to get inside the mill? Also, I chose the hut as a reward from the hermit on another quest, but I can't leave anything in any of the shelves, drawers or chests, nor can I use the fire place to rest!! What gives?

This stumps a lot of people, so you're not alone, but it's not a bug, just a tricky puzzle. The mirror shard is on the ROOF of the mill. If you go around to where the doors are, you'll see an upper door that's blocked off and has some planks next to it. Geralt can walk up those planks to the roof of the mill, where, sure enough, there's another Bride and the last piece of the mirror. You can't do anything with the hut the Hermit gives you. We don't know if that never got implemented, or if it's a subtle clue that Geralt can't settle down, but you aren't missing anything -- there's really nothing there.

That's great news! I'm glad I'm just stupid and that it's not the game's fault! I'm having too much fun playing. You made my day. Thanks very much.

I'm glad you're having such a good time! I mentioned that a lot of people have trouble with this, though, specifically so that you wouldn't feel stupid. It really is a very common question, and that's not surprising -- Geralt has trouble lifting his feet as high as six inches during most of the game, and suddenly he can climb on planks? Where'd that come from?

Huh. Funny you mentioned this, as it was the MOST frustrating thing for me (besides the crashing) when I played for the first time with v1.0.Ran around that mill for ages, looking for the last piece of the mirror, noticed the vibrating medallion, but thought a bug had crept in and somehow spawned the last "bride" INSIDE the mill. Then I saw her from afar on top of the mill. I remember my frustration every time I replay the quest now.

I did that too - aarded every damn wall I could find hoping that it'd fall in so I could get that last bit :D And then, joy of joys, Geralt took a step on the planks, and I thought 'hang on a second...' trotted him up those planks and then cursed a blue streak when I saw her, got halfway up, and it turned to nighttime and the bride pissed off....

My problem is trying to get into the mill to get the last mirror. I've talked to EVERYONE, seems I've been everywhere, gone in the day, gone at night, and I am at a loss. I've been playing for over 4 hours just trying to do this quest. I have NOT talked to the bridge builder yet (I just remembered him :whatthe:) Is he the key to this?

If you walk around the outside of the mill, you'll see some doors on one side, one of which is blocked with a pile of junk. That looks unpromising, but actually, that pile of junk is exactly what you want. There's a plank on top of the pile of junk, and Geralt can walk up that plank until he reaches the roof of the mill. It's hard to discover this, because Geralt CAN'T walk up a lot of objects that are no higher than the plank is; in this one instance, he can do so.
