[ACT IV] Where is the Vodyanoi priest?

Soooo... where is he?No, seriously, where is he? He was there when I first started ACT IV, but now that I need to collect gifts from both him and Julian he's nowhere to be found. I've killed all the Vodyanoi that are supposed to be chasing him off. I've killed all the wyverns that show up, I've killed all the wolves, I even picked every herb so that the only things on the island are the elven scout, Berengar, the Fisher King, the girl and the naiad. I've waited for hours for him to show... nothing. What the ******?! Where is he? Am I missing something?

He comes back. In my game, I went to the lady of the lake and gave her one half her tribute, which she said was wrong. When I went back to shore, I think the priest was there. I think the trigger was giving one half the tribute.

I tried that. I got the Alabaster Statue from Julian and she didn't want it, came back and he wasn't there. Julian won't talk to me either to let me exchange. I'm stuck. He wont' show. What time of day was it when you did it?

You might have to advance the story line more. At one point (during the evening so far for due to circumstances) the Resolute Girl NPC will say I know something you don't. The priest is back

Thank you! That's actually quite helpful, I found some other avenues that I could explore "meanwhile", so I'll be sure to do that. I appreciate that help, and I'll post here to update.Cheers, mate

Just to steal the thread a bit, youre saying the Alabaster statue is not the item the lady wants? Cause i got the impression it is the right item from reading the text on the altar statue...

Thats exactly what she wants, but she will only take it when you have the other half of the tribute as well.

I'm in the exact same spot and have tried other things people have suggested. This is where I'm at. I have the statue from Julian, killed all the creatures along the shores, multiple times and have gone back and forth to island to try to see if he would appear multiple times, nothing. With my other quests, I just have 2 side quests (gather quests), I gotta speak to Julian about Alvin, but he won't let me, and I'm out of dialogue options for Berengar and the lady of the lake. Any help would be appreciated.

Okay, here's an update, I started talking to every living thing and have started the The Heat of the Day quest and have proceeded it to when I'm supposed to talk to Dandelion in the Inn but when I do, he doesn't any new dialogue for me, so I went back to see if the priest was there, and nothing still. Could someone help me out here? I'm at the end of everyone's dialogue it seems.

I'm not sure if I understand you problem, but I'll try to help.1. You have to gather gifts from both vodyanoi priest and Julian and then bring them to Lady of the Lake (hints are on the statue).2. If you can't meet vodyanoi priest, try to progress your quest "Alvin".

Thank you for taking the time out to help. While I was off the boards for awhile, I just started talking to everyone imaginable and am progressing the Alvin quest line like you indicated. Appreciate your help again. I guess I was getting spoiled byt the previous chapters and their easier quest lines. I'm in no way saying that I don't like to explore, I prefer it more and enjoy the 'hunt' of finding new conversation, it just seems like the previous quests, you didn't have to necessarily 'hunt' for more conversation. I have to say great job aagin for an awesome game. Thanks again for the help and look forward to completing the rest of the game. Can't wait for the toolkit.

Ok I just posted on multiple threads about this silly little Vodyanoi priest. I already got the alabaster statue which I really think is the required gift but to hell with the bugger I can't find his arse. I actually vandalized the altar by throwing about the offerings! Serves the horny lady of the lake right! HMP! Where the hell are you priest?!

It is unclear to me too. I have the statue, now where is the bracelet? Can I buy just any? Where is the Heat of Day quest originating from?

Julian gives you the alabaster figurine if you ask him for itThe vodyanoi priest gives you the gold braceletThe priest is driven away from the altar for periods of time and will not appear until the Resolute girl tells Geralt that she knows something he doesn'tYou must present both gifts to the Lady at the same time, one at a time will not do, but the above are the correct gifts if you want to resolve the conflict

Thanks. I got that. But I didn't know how to make the priest appear. I haven't tried but I forgot to see Alvin in the house in the village. Totally escaped me. So I could not proceed the Heat quests. I suspect that the priestly dude will appear any minute now.It is all straightforward, like all quests. Except when you are lame and forget to just enter one house.I just figured when I got to this chapter that I would do all sidequests first and then run through the Alvin story. And when I got to it, I had forgotten the house.

Not a bad strategy, but you've now seen that some things you just have to do sooner than later ... have fun with Alvin following you everywhere ;)I'm in Act IV myself, but for the umpteenth run-through !

He shows up at night, right? Ive gone through three nights in game and he still hasnt shown up any of those nights. Are there any other conditions to make him show up?

You can't do anything about it. His disappearance has nothing to do with the hostile vodyanoi on the shore. However, he does show up when you advance far enough in a certain quest. I think the trigger is an event in which something happens to Alina; I won't spoil it here. ;) So don't worry, just concentrate on other quests.
