[Act IV] Witcher's Hut?

Geralt earns a hut from Hunting the Wild Hunt mission and Hermit says you can stay and store your stuff there but not possible to store anything or meditate inside, how come?

I've heard that once you empty the place it is useable (at least since the EE -- patch 1.4)before it really was useless, so if you are not playing the enhanced version, then yes, you can't do anything there

This reward from the hermit doesn't make much sense. Because actually you can't benefit from it. And it's not comparable with with the storage possibilities of the innkeepers or the "normal" places to rest and meditate.

I've never taken it, because I figured that I wouldn't be spending that long in Act IV to warrant choosing it. You could do it for the role-playing factor, I guess, and take it as a house for Geralt to come back to every now and again :)

It's one of your choice - you choose to live peacefully with your wife and become a farmer :) Of course it's only a dream, you can never change, you'll be always a monster slayer. So the hut is useless to you, but as a symbol it has a great meaning.

Okay Mike. :D that makes sense now that I've finshed the game. But, I haven't finished my playthrough again to see if the dialogue with Triss changes based on my decision here. Anywho ::) I found the hut to be absolutely useless. Theres a fireplace inside and you can't get a hand icon to do anything with it (yes playing EE). There isn't any storage container to put anything in. I dropped a bunch of crud inside but, forget to go back day later to see if it would still be there and not disappear like normal or not. Did I just have a bug in my game or is that normal. :hmmm: I think it would be normal as there really is no need for a hut anyhow. I think it was a programmers joke on us old time RPGr's that are used to buying a house as a base of operations. ;D

Taking the hut as a reward would mean that Geralt is bound to this location (which is actually in the middle of nowhere). This means also that he settles down, takes care of his hut and little garden and cattle breeding. This doesn't fit into a sequel. And that's why the devs decided to make this reward option useless *cough*cough*
