I never saw anything important about him, though he does tell you some stiff about the Striga. Unless he's supposed to be Alvin's dad.

I never found his kid through four playthroughs.

Maybe the quest was cut out of the game at the last moment, as were a few other things.

As far as I know it a dead quest he ask about his son and Ive done 3 runs in the game and never found him I'm on my 4th run and if I find anything will let you know

There's a notice board at the hospital's front door The desperate father is a remain of a quest? Sure?I always thought it was just a stimulating story for the striga because the next thing what happens is the lion-hearted Velerad who gives Geralt access to the (Striga's) crypt.

You need to talk to him to get the story on the crypt. Then after the crypt if you have 5 cementaur jaw bones he will pay you for them if you got the contract from the board in front of the hospital.
