[Act V] Raven's Crpt respawning

I haven't left the Crypt since I first came in and so far it has respawned fully, including a Basilisk, every 24 hours. Clearing it out three times took me from level 40 to level 41. My sense, based on my experience with the Crypt in the Fields, is that it will keep respawning fully as long as I don't leave, but onceI leave it will respawn only a few Wraiths and Fleders in future. Is that the case?

Ah. Well, just in case, since I had a ton of Cat potions, I stuck around for a while and levelled Geralt up to 44.

Pure cheese :)I think that with level 39 (the normal level at hard difficulty you reach the ice age if you didn't do any extra levelling) the battles were already way too easy. Is it really more fun as level 50? :p

For me, it's not so much that the battles are more or less fun, i *need* to fill out all those talent slots ... call me anal ;D

Yes, it's not a question of difficulty. My only issue with this game is that it pretty much forces you to become an Aard/Igni specialist at the expense of the other magic skills. In this game, I really wanted to see what some of the other ones were like at higher levels. I now have four of them up to level five, and I almost don't need to use my sword except in boss battles, and sometimes not even then -- I had to lure the Striga away from my Pain circle because I was afraid she would die. In my next game, I will spend far less of my talents on sword skills and try playing as a powerhouse mage.

Incidentally, I believe it is true that if you don't leav ethe crypts, all of the monsters respawn indefinitely, or at last that's true for some of the crypts. I had suspected this of the Crypt in the Field. I was in there for two full days and every single monster respawned during that time. Then I left the Crypt in the Fields, and thereafter only about one fifth of the monsters respawned when I went back in.The theory also holds true for Raven's Crypt. I stayed in there for about ten full days and nights, and every 24 hours the entire contingent of monsters respawned, including the basilisk. After I left Raven's Crypt,, and then came back again two game weeks later, only about one tenth of the monsters had respawned. So it does seem that if you stay in the Crypts the first time you go in, and keep resting in there, the monsters will all respawn, but once you leave the respawning is far, far less.

That's what I've been doing in my current playthrough, but given that you get silver and gold very late in your progression, you end up with each sword talent on the second bronze before you get any gold talents. I'm in Act IV now and have my main attributes on 4 and A/I on 4. Y on 3, Ax on 2, Quen on 2.So its not really easy/efficient to get your magical talents high enough for you to be able to cast them often enough even with tawny owl and you still have to resort to swords rather often.I suppose if you changed brone/silver/gold progression it would be more feasible.I've been playing around with the thought of reducing bronze talents by 1 per level (except during your initial 3 bronze levels) and in exchange have silver turn up 3 levels earlier and gold 3 levels earlier.
