"Activity" triggered - Taxpayer in Good Standing Diploma.

Did anyone else got this...?..I was riding through Oxenfurt today when a guy suddenly came to me and started asking me about ma money lol.Said in the recent times I had acquired quite a sum of money and wanted to know if I had participated in some things.In the end he gave me a paper that said this: "Taxpayer in Good Standing Diploma".

Just wanna know if someone already got this,and how its triggered....I believe its triggered when you have a lot of money.I have/had 175000 on me.

Neat, but how the hell i'm supposed to amass 175000? Highest amount on cashmoney i've ever had is 5-6k

Lol, it happened to me too. Just curious, do you use console to "addmoney" ?? Maybe CDPRed have a sense of humour :D

Yeah, it was added by patch 1.10 or 1.11 afaik and is indeed triggered upon amassing a certain amount of money. I had only about 50.000 (because money used to disappear over 59.000 something) and had him visit me as well.

No, it doesn't check for console commands or cheats or anything.

I used some "illegal" merchant tricks in my first playthrough with pearls. Now I'm in NG+ and I don't yet know if the taxman follows me there :D I didn't cheat in NG+,'cause I had over 150 000 money when I started it. And I didn't make "millions" with that trick, just 10 000 - 20 000 or so and I think that sum of money disapeared when I loaded my game again after that. I'm a looter and 99% of my money comes from selling those to mercants.

That taxman and "rawhide"monster are awsome :D I feel so guilty now :D

Too bad you see this funny guy only when you 'cheated".
I would have not known this funny thing if no one talked about him here.

There should be something similar like that for the "good" players. So we can laugh too :D

I got him as well, and since I never did any exploits I got a Diploma from him. :)

Really ?
I played HoS 3 Times.... Visited Oxenfurt day and night , walked the streets up and down and he never showed up..
Is there a specific time or quest that triggers him?

Loot everything and sell everything that is useless to you?

What do you mean by "addmoney"...?

I got your indirect....look I'm an avid online playa and one thing that I consider a cancer in gaming is cheating.I would never use cheats no matter the circumstance.All ma money came from looting everything always since the beginning of the game,by now I explored every nook and cranny of this beautiful game and I have 180000 right now,I'm on lvl 40...and I'm not on NG+....this is ma 1st and only playthrough I've ever did on Witcher 3.

You need 35000+ gold in order for him to show up.

I would say its way more than that...passed through Oxenfurt many and many times with more than 100000 and he only appeared for me when I was with that sum I mentioned in the post.

Just watched the video "Sunsibar" posted.Man what an awesome touch by CDPR...now I understand why he was asking me that and I had no idea what he was talking about...but the last question which was "Have you entered in somebody's home and taken something without their permission?"...I said ''yes" to that as its true because I probably looted every house in the game.Lol this was a really really nice touch by CDPR.
And the guy in the video says in the 1st quest of HoS but I wasn't doing any quest of HoS,was really just passing through Oxenfurt.

35000 was not a guess. I simply checked the quest file to see the actual conditions.

@Sarcen
Thanks, good to know.
No Wonder he never came to me. Never had so much Money, and i loot/sold everything except Glyphs/Runes/Alchemist Stuff.

@Welmosca
Sorry, i thought he will only show up if some exploits were used. That's why i said there should be something for "Good " players.

I played HoS with default Geralt and didn't see the taxman :( I'm hoping to see him now in my NG+ with second round of HoS. That guy is just hilarious :D

Well yup it may be like that indeed.Before writing that I hadn't noticed that the tax guy was added to the game along with HoS.And when HoS released I was in Skellige,the time he appeared to me was indeed the 1s time I was riding through Oxenfurt after HoS.

No problem,understand that.
I never sell those too...glyphs,runestones,alchemy items,consumables.I only sell swords,armor,repeated books,animal hides and useless horse gear.Most of ma money definitely came from swords and armor.

As far as I know, you should be able to trigger it by visiting Oxenfurt Marketplace, while playing the expansion's main quest. I don't recall any other special conditions.
It doesn't show up in Oxenfurt for me. I figure if I have to kill cows, sell pearls,etc?

I had two HoS playthrough, and I only got the taxman appear on NG+.
Interestingly though, if you admit on the issue with the pearls, you have to pay Vivaldi the necessary tax, BUT you get extra 100 XP.
