Dont want to kill your illusions.. but DLCs they plan to release... those will be free... CDPR doesnt do payed DLCs... they do Expansions.. and those will just add additional content to the game - in Witcher 3 for example, Blood and Wine was bigger than some AAA games released that year... and i think its safe to assume that after this launch fiasco, Expansions for Cyberpunk would need to be quite epic...

I was looking forward to this title to see how this living and breathing world they promised would come along - I played the game, had some fun but frankly when you compare it to titles like GTA 5, after 5+ years is still is far more advanced than this.

It's just sad to hear they are "happy" with is, it's the most insulting thing to say to their own developers IMHO: "we know you can only achieve so much, it's ok".

This attitude frankly leaves me have little expectations, and certainly I'll wait for reviews before buying anything else from CDPR.

Notice how many floors you can pick in the elevators? Think it was always just entrance and mission floor? Notice the description of gorilla arms. Seems like they used to do something for strenght. Not anymore, though. Now they're just clumsy boxing gloves.

Let's talk about monowire for a second then as it relates to gorilla arms. In the videos from 2+ years ago in order to breech or quick hack you needed to jack into the enemy or use the monowire to do it from any distance. So monowire had an additional function that allowed you to use it for quick hacks.

But guess what? That was determined to be bad. So they came up with the "targeting" system. You can breech and quick hack without monowire from a distance. The functionality of quick hacks are still there. Only now you don't need monowire. This means my netrunner can have a missile launcher instead. So this is an example of cut content that was for the better.

Notice all that food and drink in the game? Ever wonder why there are so many items that do exactly the same damn thing? Presumably because at one point there was an idea of doing something immersive with food, but then things had to be streamlined to save time.

That is a guess or assumption on your part. You have zero proof. Just as possible is those food items were replaced by healing stuff and or perks. Maybe they found it redundant in testing. Often many ideas sound good on paper but fail when put into practice.

As I said before this is a guess. There is no cut content that you can identify here. Just supposition on your part.

That perk that makes you invisible in water, why do you think it is there? The sixth attribute spot that opens up after you say hi to Johnny, what do you think that is?

I have no idea and neither do you. You CLAIM cut content. But have zero proof. It was most likely another failed idea that sounded good on paper but didn't work well. Like acid rain and subways. These sound OK but do not make the game better.

So you failed to actually show any evidence of cut content that would have made the game better. Just a bunch of guesses, opinions and possibilities.

that 48min video was just a demo, with a ton of Work in Progress stuff in it.. Its normal that Dev team removes certain parts that they find not fitting with the game anymore.. like for example monowire hacking (what's the point in it, if you can hack anything in your line of sight anyway) or gorilla arms door opening ( door over-power is based on strength attribute, so they most likely did not give attribute bonuses to cyberwear as its hard to quantify based on quality of cyberware - it can be /common/uncommon/rare/epic/legendary/, so what bonus would you give to all these?? +1 to strength? so you would end up with 25 strength with gorilla arms and 20 strength attribute?? instead, they just made sure everything is consistent, and overpower value is 1-20 instead of 1-25 for overpower, but 1-20 for technical..)

Same thing applies to mantis blade wall climbing... it would complicate mission designs, because they would need to take wall climbing into assumption for every single one of them... usually every gig has multiple approaches available, and wall climbing would just create infinite ways how to do things, which is quite hard to troubleshoot in terms of bugs...

There is a good reason why certain stuff was cut from game... and in that demo they specifically said that everything in it is still being playtested and will most definitely change in full game... after all, that demo was never intended to be shown to public, for (now) obvious reasons... but it got out because some journalists recorded parts of it and leaked it online...
One of basic rule of life, business, relationships whatever is - if you take something away, you should give something instead.

This studio took many things away due to 'reasons' - that was differently by different people described - no sense, glitching, changing the directions and so on. Yet very few new features were given instead. This leaves a lot to be desire and considering that game was advertised as it was (go through major interviews, game-play demos 2018 and 2019) it implies also shady practices in the making.

You can get away from legal problems with proper corpo talk, and there are very few things that a good lawyer or whole law firm can't fixed, but the trust and reputation is something that you build for years (think TW2, TW3 plus Blood and Wine and Heart of Stone expansions) and you can destroy it completely in one day (10th of December). And here no corpo talk, no PR can fix this, since they will just add more fuel to the fire.

Despite what many thinks, people in general are not that stupid and above all they hate to be treated like one.

Players in general were not supposed to see that demo in the first place... because it created wrong assumptions about the game.. that was the beginning of all problems this game has...

And once again what did they take awway that would have made the game BETTER?

You make claims but have no supporting evidence.

ARE YOU KIDDING? Over the last few years they deliberately hyped the game not just with this one video, but with several, with interviews, with Night City Wires, with trailers. This is not about people making the wrong assumptions, this is about a very deliberate marketing campaign showcasing numerous features that were not in the game or were severly dumbed down in the game. Why on earth would you blame players for making "wrong assumptions" based on marketing matererial directly from the company?
Am I going crazy?

People are saying they cut content from the game... only "gameplay" video showing that content was the demo, which was not even supposed to be viewed by players but media...

And yet not a single person has provided evidence for any cut content that would have made the game better. They are staring to sound like Garry from the game.

This is an absolute lie.

Angry Joe talked to them after he played the demo and he asked them if the demo was legit and they said yes.
He continued to say if the Demo is legit they should release it, so they released it.

So, no excuse in that.
