Him citing the 9 out 10 reviews and pretending the PC version is a masterpiece is what I really did not like with his statement.

Because it basiclly shows an unwillingness to accept that there are other problems with the game besides bugs and the console version not working well.

I suppose it depends on what you think is the problem with the game because I think it's a really fantastic game--if you can fucking play it.

Which a lot of people can't.

Which is very good as an argument that the problem is the game's massive bugs.

Fast forward to today, I'm upset that a game developer, that I was calling one of the tops if not the top company out there. Now I have to retrace my actions and words and tell friends that we have been duped. There will not be any cut content added, no fixed to the ambush or police system repaired. Well some of this be fixed or returned? that's a big, fat IDK. For the first time, I can't trust CDPR, the company that I was loyal to, the one I held above all others,

Hard to add cut content that never existed in the first place. When people say, "They should put back all the cut content!"

I'm like, "What? The train? The monowire hacking that doesn't matter since it's now line of sight? What are you thinking needs to be added?"

Well, they did cut lots of content and features. The problem is, most of them were confirmed to be cut well before release. And this little detail is critical IMO, because developing a game that lacks certain important features does not necessarily equal to breaking promises. Some frequently mentioned "cut" features like subway, flathead, vehicle&apartment customization, multiple apartments, wall running and the redesign of the hacking mechanic were all mentioned by the developers at least months before and even discussed in these forums. The thing is, many things were cut, yes. But they were cut much before and we knew it. It is completely fine to adress the absence of these mechanics, but I think the line we have to draw is, whether it is justified to say they "robbed" us or broke any promises with these features, since we knew about or should have known about these missing features before making our purchase.

However, some serious problems like non-existing NPC routines, bad AI, short and linear main story fall under the category of broken promises that I agree, because they stood by these claims up until release.

What is this sixth talent tree that you can't use? What about the perks you can aquire that belong to ablities that don't even exist in the game? What about the obviously cut story sections (Militech arc, Dex vs Evely, Netwatch vs Voodoo Boys). What about the Cyberpsycho quest and the Peralez? The unfinished romances (especially River and Kerry)?
Not to mention clearly unfinished systems like police and pedestrian AI, terrible cars, terrible crafting?

And what about the simplified game meachanics like hacking, taking hostages, etc? It was never mentioned before that they were totally dumbed down compared to the 2018/2019 gameplay.
And what about the branching story paths that were the major reason many of us were even interested in the game? Most decisions don't matter at all. What about the "handcrafted sidequests" that were promised? Where they said that repetitive, grindy jobs like the Skellige chests would not be a thing, every quest would be super special? Most quest are GIGs (go there, kill that, sabotage that - no conversation, no decisions, no impact whatsoever)...

This is on some completely different scale than just a flathead or wallrunning getting canceled...

Found this on a site and of course Jason did not interview all 500 people, 20 is more than enough sample size to get a sense on what was going on inside CDPR lol

But conveniently left out that you can no longer have random one night stands with NPCs (as shown in the 2018 gameplay) and that now you can only have one romance option per gender/sexual orientation, this disclosure alone would get them half of their pre-orders cancelled. By being promoted as the "next generation of open world games" most people were expecting a open world game with some second life/the sims mechanics, because most adults no longer have the patience for mmo style shooters, and want a more mature experience.
Sure thing, that's exactly how real adults tend to react to not having enough romance options in the game. :-/
Only the most mature people on the planet are capable of finding time to waste on the second life simulations.

I am not excusing any faults of the game, there are many. Just that bad crafting is not a "scam", it is bad game development. Saying they made a bad game is different, generously using criminal vocabulary is different. And that is what many people are doing, this is my complaint. They almost want to see people in jail because the game has many flaws. Also the traces of cut content do not change the fact that they did not "lie" to you about those things. They can cut whatever they want during development and that is not robbery. For things they actually promised, I had already agreed. I do not intend to excuse poor aspects of the game. But treating the studio as a criminal organisation which took your money on your pocket is going too far.

Bad crafting is not a scam but it's a bad, subpar feature. Which makes Badowski's claim that the game is basically great (9/10) apart from the bugs..ehhh...dubious. I don't think anyone here wants to see the devs go to jail, we want them to adress that the game is, in fact, very far from perfect and that it still needs a lot of work, not just on bugs. We just want them to own up to it and then work on improving it. They don't need to wear haishirts and beat themselves up, they should just deliver.
 
While Mr. Schreier's journalism is at times heavily biased, I invite everyone who is interested in putting CP2077 promised features into context (and the actual state of the game) to watch Crowbcat's video. A sober, yet brutally honest list of what is wrong with CP2077 (EDIT: I'm not linking the video because it has been done already countless of times)

I could list you more features of a game released in 2005 than in this game. What even can i do in this game.. How do you expect me to interact with the world, outside of your scripted missions.
This is unacceptable in my point of view.

Now he tries to justify the game, by saying that game was rated 9/10 or 10/10 by "Renown gaming outlets."
- Okay, so you want to tell me, that IGN is a trustworthy website? They would rate anything 10/10 if you pay them well enough.. Like.. PLEASE...! IGN even dares to say that this game is still a RPG, so why is CDPR not doing the same? You sell it as Action Adventure, but IGN sells it as RPG. Weird.


Well, i guess this is what the game is guys. Be ready to open up your Wallets for all that cut content, because it will come as long as you can pay.

Either you enjoyed the game or not. If enjoyed, but later on saw this propaganda bs, then made up your mind, then time to leave.

People already spread this total nonsense propaganda on Reddit and now it's gaining traction here too.

If you didn't enjoy, well, then sucks to be you. This was mostly a single player game with a proper story, 100 hours or so content. So if that's not enought, I don't know what could've been enough.

So for those who expected 15000 hours of repetitive open world content, well, they might have to jump into another game which sucks up your time ad infinitum, like the master zombifier game called WoW, or the hollow dead boring Path of Exile. Whatever.

I would like to know, why a perk exist that makes you undetectable under water. Like.. okay.. whats the reason for me not being detectable under water?

"Commando" Perk - You cannot be detected under water.

This makes me truly wonder, why a perk like this is in the game, when its unused.
The answer is simple: Its in there, because there was use of it until they decided to cut said content out.

No other explaination for me, for the most useless perk in the game.

In the demo you needed to jack into people or use a monowire to preform a quick hack (if we are looking at the same demo). Now clearly you can quick hack people. So you can do the quick hack THING. The method of HOW has changed. For me quick hacking via a scan is way better as I can now stealth. But that's not the point as to which METHOD is better. The point is you can still do the quick hack which is the thing.

WOW really an absolute? NONE, ZERO, NADA features? Instead list what features are missing. Maybe the feature was never mentioned. I don't know because YOU never listed any.

And to claim that NO features are in the game is ludicrous. You can double jump that is ONE feature. So even pointing out a single feature destroys your statement.

For example acid rain was "cut content". But it would NOT have made the game better. Because we all know players would love to walk in the rain and take damage or not be able to ride the bike in acid rain etc.

And a definition of cut content is necessary. Cut content is not something a dev might like or want to include. It is actually something that was IN the game, hence the word CUT.

The game has issues. And maybe being thoughtful, precise and listing ACTUAL things would be many times more constructive then this post.

i play since 1987 on my Commodore 116, good for you that you play for ~20years
belive what you whant, but in my opinion its the best game of 2020.. and maybe will be 2021
and AC Valhalla...
i did play it, 99% completion because there are sill some quests not working
and its still full of other bugs like skills not working
and some stuff did make it unplayable on release... sounds familar i guess

and i just cant play AC Valhalla a 2nd time, because the game was just booring and a donwgraded version of Odyssey, my personal opion
after ~50% of the game you knew who Loki is, most of the cult people didnt even take place in the main story or even side quests, if you even wanna call those shit mini quests side quests

just show me a citiy on this scale that is better detailed (some buildings or streets of NC could be buildings in real life)

The reason i didnt go deeply into it is because there are already enough threads with features that are missing, cut content or whatever you want to see in my comment. It would just make it unnecessary long. Everyone understands what i say when i talk about missing features, as there are enough threads.

The point about this thread is that according to Adam Badowski, this is the final game. THE INTENDED game. So maybe you want to list features that are in the game, so we can see how many features this "final game" has.
 
Guys, do not make a war for a game, for god's sake.
It's clear to everyone they cut half of the game and we won't see anything apart bug fixes.

Nobody is playing this game anymore, let's move on and come back in 2 years.
