Add mouse mode to Switch

+
Hi!
I couldn't find a thread that really fits so I'm posting here:) I'm loving the Switch 2 port so far, however there is one really annoying issue that's currently stopping me from enjoying it to it's fullest and that's is the implementation of the mouse mode. Everywhere else on the system you can dynamically switch to mouse mode by just putting down the JoyCon and using it as a mouse and then back to regular controls by picking it up and using the stick. However in Cyberpunk the mouse mode completely turns of stick camera controls, which doesn't feel that great on Switch 2. What would feel really natural to me (and that's also how Metroid Prime 4 does it) is to just allow both at the same time so I can use my stick for exploration and driving etc.. and where I can just put down the mouse and use that for shootouts.

I second this, 2 months later, and this doesn't seem to have been turned into its own thread. I know people were talking about this ahead of launch, but I don't see many discussions about it since then. I really want to play it in mouse mode, but the inability to swap between stick and mouse control dynamically (something that is especially frustrating if you're playing on the couch with a small surface for the mouse), and the fact that it swaps fire to the much smaller bumper—understandable if you think of the joycon as a PC mouse—isn't ideal, since it isn't a PC mouse. The joycon is shaped so that your index finger rests ergonomically on the trigger, not the bumper, and since you don't aim down sights on the trigger in this mode anyway, it doesn't emulate the PC experience regardless. All it does is break muscle memory when you go back and forth between handheld mode and docked mode.

I really wish this would get its own thread, or some sort of acknowledgement. The Switch 2 version is great, but it has its flaws that need to be addressed, both with its features like mouse mode, and performance issues and visual glitches. Right now, it's uncertain whether the Switch 2 port will get further support outside these smaller content patches, and 2.3 didn't address the issues present in the port. Will we have to wait another 7 months and hope these issues are addressed? I hope not, because as it stands, 2.3 itself has issues with auto drive that also need attention.

Posts moved.

...2 months later. :D

It's a fair request. Not sure about the possibility of adding something like that, but it seems like a reasonable feature to have.
