adrenaline meter

Hello,
Is anyone else having an issue with their adrenaline meter. I played the witcher 2 on XBox so i know how to beat the kayran. On my PC when im playing my adrenaline meter never goes past 50 percent. So i have been attempting to beat the kayran for three hour but i can't get past the meter. I have tried really fast, really, slow medium, adjusting the mouse settings. I have tired three different controllers and three different mouses as well as two different keyboards. Everything else on the game is fine i just can't get past that. Is there any possible help for my meter?

I had the very same problem once - I finally got it though, and I think I did it by cutting the tentacles as fast as I could, and with different sequences (the order of tentacle-cutting I mean)..
Perhaps some tentacles makes the meter "move more"?

Have you cut every tentacle before the QTE appears?

You don't need to worry about the Adrenaline bar for the Kayran fight. You DO need to worry if your PC is not hardcore enough to process that scene properly.

If you can't get through - try lowering the settings, changing the resolution to a low one, and run in windowed mode.

- OK - I think you are talking about the QTE bar not filling up as you are mashing the LM button?

Then follow my instructions above. There are many, many posts on this issue and just about all of the problems can be blamed on lower-end hardware.

Yes I have cut all of the tentacles before the meter appeared. I also cut in different orders. That was done as fast as my computer would let me. Now if there is a certain order that will let you do it every time I am more than happy to try that. I even had an issue with the ballista in the first part of the game. My computer specs are listed below, I built the computer myself and i have tested all my parts before and after the game. Just because I really like this game I also had a computer store check the parts. They are all in perfect order.

Intel Core i7 2640QM 2.8 GHz

GPU NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 560M

Video Memory 1.5 GB DDR5 VRAM

Spec 16GB DDR3

HDD Capacity 1TB (7200RPM)

A theory:
If your framerate is low, the game won't register as many mouseclicks as if it were running in 60 fps - some games only read input once per frame: more frames, more time for additional clicks.

I would follow Peetz' suggestion, and see if it works for you!

OK, call me confused.

Though you say you "I built this computer myself" - the specs certainly point to it being a laptop. Nonetheless, it SHOULD be able to run the game sufficiently if you keep the settings low enough so as to ensure a good frame rate.

You comment that you had a problem with the ballista part as well. That would figure - and should be a sign to you that your hardware cannot keep up with the demands of the game. If you run Fraps, or another proggie to keep track of FPS, you should see that the game cannot keep up during that QTE.

Lower your resolution - try 600X800 for that area. It doesn't matter in which order you chop off the Kayran's legs.

Turn off QTE's in the Options. That may help you navigate this section.

Go to the Configuration Options (you can run it directly from "configurator.exe) and turn off or lower the settings.

Then try again.
