After I grab them from behind and stun them, I hide their "living bodies" in a box and they are judged dead.
In a quest that should not kill enemies, if you hide the enemies in the way described above, the quest fails immediately.
And quite often when they lift up and put down stunned enemies, they suddenly hit the ground and die.
