After update 2.1 my game keeps crashing and sending me back to home screen

Every time I try to load my save I get booted back to my home screen and the game closes. This is with my phantom liberty save as well my max character. Is there any fix for this? This is very frustrating.

I didn't encounter any particular issue nor crash on Series X, but I "only" played something like 10/15 hours (new playthrought, played until Act 2 and meet Goro at Tom's Diner).
If you didn't try already, clean the cache in case (not much you can do on console anyway)

Unplugging method, works on any Xbox:
1. Power down your Xbox using the Xbox controller or the Power Off button on your Xbox
2. Unplug the power cable from the back of your Xbox
3. Wait at least two minutes
4. Plug the cable back into your Xbox
5. Turn your Xbox back on
Software method, works only on Xbox Series X:
1. Press the glowing Xbox button on your controller
2. Scroll right to Profile & system
3. Select Settings with the A button
4. Select Devices & Connections > Blu-ray > Persistent Storage
5. Select Clear Persistent Storage

Thank you I did all of these steps and still nothing. I hope they can come out with a patch soon. I also sent them a clip of what happens but thanks for trying to help .

I am having this exact same issue! I've tried all of these things and still nothing.

I've found no way of contacting support either, can't seem to find anyway to fix this.

The best way is click support and then click on the platform. As for me everything they told me to do I am still unable to load any saves after the new update. I've done everything and after talking with Microsoft they have confirmed this is on CDPR end. We did alot of troubleshoot steps and nothing worked.

As I said in another topic my Cyberpunk2077 on my Ps5 runs great. I was also able to get phantom liberty free from my Fiance and it runs great I can save and load those saves like normal. So I concluded something they did really messed up saves for Xbox series x badly and Microsoft also confirmed they have reports of this issue and with Cyberpunk2077.


I am disappointed because the expansion is awesome but this BS right here can just make you think wtf are they doing over there. The holidays are coming up and are they going to fix this crap??. It's honestly a damn shame and I'm glad I didn't have to pay for the expansion on my Ps5 lol lol they are not getting a cent from me until they get there ish together.

I've done everything and after talking with Microsoft they have confirmed this is on CDPR end.

I played 10-15 hours when 2.1 was released and didn't have any issue with saves or crashes, I didn't play since.
I will try tomorrow and the only thing which have changed on my console since the last time I played the game, it's an update of the Xbox OS. So if I have issue, it's likely because of the OS rather than the game.
