Gamers expect an experience based off the table top source material; while the CEO, board of directors, and investors expect the best ROI. Sony and Microsoft don’t like what they consider to be “extreme” sexual content on their platforms as it is not part of their “image”. Because maximizing distribution cross different platforms is part of the CEO, and board of directors’ strategy to get the best ROI, they will modify the game to whatever Sony and/or Microsoft want. Because they either do so or lose that marketspace.
Also Sony and Microsoft also tend to want the game console experience to be similar to the pc experience. Because if the pc experience has more content or is seen to be better by gamers; gamers will gravitate to the pc over purchasing the game on consoles.
