That however also means that I have to fix the game for the devs with my actions, because they weren't able to balance it properly.

There are so many other ways to 'cheese' combat, like the Hammer of Bonk I found, that can just one-shot every enemy from stealth, which then counts as a silent stealth kill. You can even do the same to whole groups with grenades, if your grenade damage is just high enough to one-shot the mobs. At a certain point the game becomes kinda comical with all the unbalanced and broken parts.

I don't think anyone will deny that the game could be better, or that there aren't things that need to be fixed, but if you're in a position that your own actions are causing you to not have fun, then you need to learn to practice some restraint. One of the major aspects of open world games is finding your own fun.

There are dozens of games that I have played to death and know practically everything about it. Fallout 2, for example; I know I can grab advanced power armor within 10 minutes of starting the game if I really want to, but I don't, because I don't find that fun. Do I run all the way to San Francisco because I know where it is, or do I force myself to follow a path where I must talk to an NPC that reveals a location first, often through a random encounter that I may or may not get? I know how to cheese the game, I just don't don't do it when I want to enjoy the game in a certain way.

what you say is true and it is also they way I play games, albeit I don't turn on cheats just because I can.

What he is asking thought is that a weapon which is in the game, that is fun to use (sniping), doesn't trivialize the game altogether (to the point that its effect is considered akin to enabling god mode). Me too I stopped using the same sniper because it was too easy, so now I don't use the weapon anymore, where is the fun in that?

I can think of a few things I would do. Make a rule that you can only kill someone within direct line of sight, or you can only use it as an opener, or you must use backup weapons once they are alerted, or you can only kill the primary target with it, etc etc. If using a sniper rifle is the only thing you can find fun in this game, then you have a bigger problem. Sooner or later, CDPR will balance things, so I wouldn't be worried about that. In the mean time, you can mitigate the problems you have with the game and still have fun with it.

I just... can you explain to me WHY a railgun shouldn't kill someone when you shoot them in the face with it? Also, shooting through walls is completely realistic. It's a feature in the PnP game too. Hell, there are perks and cyberware that are designed specifically to penetrate and see through walls.

This is clearly not the game for you.

You're missing the point. And honestly, I don't really care if you have fun with the game or not. You can complain about the things that aren't fixed or not working the way you want them to, or you can find ways to have fun with it. Your choice.
