Alchemy Fail: Vapors of the Hunt

A d'yaebl aep arse! Why can't i loot King of the Wild Hunt's remains to pick up his family jewels after i kill him like i can with every other boss monster??? Clearly he does have some items as the "remains" text appears when you hit the key that shows all the info texts on interactive items. The bestiary even says the KotWH has alchemy usable crap on him.

What sort of new devilry is this?? Pox on his corpse!

I think I've managed to loot his corpse once. You just have to be far away from the Grand Master lying down, so that the cutscene does not start when you defeat the King of the Wild Hunt.
