Alchemy Journal Entries

+
Hello.

I've recently started my second playthrough of The Witcher 2 and I've noticed that some of my journal entries are messed up and are missing information (see the attachments). I'm running Steam EE. I don't recall having this problem the first time. Since then I have installed a few mods (I can provide the whole list), but they mostly deal with dialogue options and Axii hex fixes. None of them changed anything even remotely connected with alchemy but it seems to be the only corrupted aspect of the game in my case. When you look at the recipes in the inventory or brew potions while meditating, all the properties are displayed correctly.

After my last unsuccessful try, I completely uninstalled the game and all of its junk (at least I believe I did), but it didn't solve the problem for me (first two screenshots were taken after that). I also used CCleaner to fix my registry. For technical reasons, switching to the GOG version is not an option for me as of now, therefore I would like to make the Steam version work properly.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there anything else I can do? I'm at a loss here.
I hope you still answer these kinds of questions and have not abandoned TW2.

Thank you in advance.

Screenshots №№ 4 and 5 have been taken with English text on to show that this is not a translation error.
The last screenshot goes to show what a correct journal entry looks like in comparison with the previous ones.

By uninstalling TW2 and all its junk you mean that you also removed the mods? Or are they still there?

I wiped the slate clean. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be working.

For future reference, the mods I used to have are as follows:
Better imported Items, Draugir Trophy Fix, Radovid Persuasion Fix, Story Ability Bug Fixes, Triss Natural Hair, Vigor Cirle of Power Bug Fix, Walls Have Ears and Suspect Thorak No Longer Fail After Returning From the Mist, Wild Hunt Journal Entries Fix and Ability to Discuss the Wild Hunt Poem With Dandelion on Iorveth's Path.
In any case, I am currently experiencing the same problems with the clean version of the game. The screenshots here were taken while running it.

Did you try again from the beginning? Even after being removed Mods can affect the save game, causing side effects.

I'm not sure if it's a game problem or not. To be honest, during my playthrough's I never really paid that much attention to the alchemy entries in TW2. In general, as long as the rest of the game works fine, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Yes, I began anew. I even tried not importing TW1 saves. Not working.

Yes, the game's playable as is, but the fact that it's somewhat broken is bugging me considerably. I'll let go eventually, but I don't want to give up just yet. I'm considering giving my system a reboot (it's been asking for it anyway), I'll see where it gets me.

Apparently, the problem's not with my PC but with the Steam version of the game itself, after all. I see no other answer, so I'm gonna stick to this version unless somebody proves otherwise, which is unlikely at this point. Still, this is all very strange stuff, I'm almost positive I didn't use to have this issue before, and I'm a very thorough player, I would've taken notice.
