Not sure what do u mean ? Talents in alchemy give +35% on the effects of potions and oils. So if on top of ((base dmg (fists + mutagens) + sword dmg)) u add oil + 21 % dmg (example = falkas blood) + 32% dmg from thunderbolt potion + 17% dmg from Rook potion u get well...
Talents that give dmg like in sword tree (+30% dmg) are already counted in base dmg.
Since now power mutagens are rare its good to invest in making mutagens as bioproducts of alchemy. I got nice amount of power mutagens that way. And i think on iorveth path there is a lot more chance to run into power mutagens. Even with this last version i was still able to get 270 top base dmg. Only thing i had to sacrifce is beserk mode which can give like 500 dmg top base, goes more then 1k hits. But i also could put less in sword talents, losing the finishers (which only work for people so its kinda wasted talent) and still can go with beserk even with investing in making mutagens.
so as u said example...u get 50 dmg from mutagens + fists...lets say 50 - 70 dmg. If u draw ur sword, based on its dmg, but in late game u already have around 100 + without pots. Now add pots and oils u can reach 200+ dmg no prob.
But i want to say, this is about getin max dmg. Your ability to survive is not as good as other builds. These are big numbers, and its recommended goin this way only for fun of having the best dmg, exploring what alchemy can do.
But for enjoying the gameplay i suggest investing in Quen lvl 2 or 3 + sword + alchemy and power mutagens. This way u will sacrifice a bit of dmg, but u will still have plenty of it + more survivability.
