By cutting away random pieces over vital organs? Yeah.

This one is especially cool, but practically all others linked here look better than the official stuff.

I'm not complaining, it's still better than no choice, but I still consider it a missed opportunity.

This belly-baring outfit simply destroys immersion just from a quick glance!

Wow, that looks awesome. It's really shame they didn't release the redkit yet. I'm sure we would have many outfits like this by now. Something for everyone's taste.

Never insinuated it was anything but opinion. Do people on the internet really need everything date stamped with an inane "IMO" before they realise any given author is merely passing off their own opinion? I wasn't speaking for everyone, I was merely stating why people are allowed to say it's shit without it actually meaning we're ungrateful for getting free stuff. So in a nutshell: We're not ungrateful, we're stating it looks rubbish to us.

If it wasn't my opinion, I wouldn't have written it.

Too heavy, imho. 2 or 3 minus the cleavage would be great. ;)

I still use the original outfits for both Triss and Yen. They simply looks better in the normal game situation. Won't comment about the Ciri one till is officially out. I quite like her outfit as it is.

Yeah, my main issue with the Triss alt appearance is it's anything but incognito. In fact, it's quite the opposite. Also, her trailing it through mud and water is ridiculous. Would probably not be so bad her wearing it during a certain act, but makes no sense during the first act.

It's not free from criticism just because it's for free. Of course as long as it's a constructive criticism, not sh*tting on someone for the sake of it.

This is not about looks, it's about functionality and common sense.
Besides I don't find them boring at all. they simply fit the context perfectly. Toruviel's armor, for example, in green and brown blends nicely with the woods where the elves fight their guerilla war, but there are still some elven ornaments, which remind us of elven style and beauty in more peaceful times.

That's exactly my point. I'm not against sexy outifits but they should be pertinent to the game situation. Triss alternate outfit is terrible, It's not comfy, it's not stealthy and it looks elvish...and Triss isn't an elf. It would have been nice to use it during the party or celebrations but aside from that I don't see someone fighting and going around in a muddy city with a elegant elven robe. A similar things can be said about Yen outfit too.....problem is that those outfits are really out of context. We shall see about Ciri. I was hoping for leather armor/jacket for her.

Thank you CDPR, for supplying me with FREE DLC that I not only have the option to not download if I dislike it, but in the event that it is auto-downloaded I do not have to use it in game.

Might have had to go on a completely unnecessary b!tchfit on a public forum to prove my raging dislike of your FREE, OPTIONAL DLC.

Well, yes. :) I do feel entitled about people behaving like adults and not like children. I already said it, it's fine if you don't like something, but you can express your dislike without using words like "crap" or "shit". As simple as that. Don't like the outfit, that's your choice, but at least respect the people who do and those who spent their time making it for you.
Most people are aware that the use of crap and shit is not literal but a hyperbole and a way to express strong discontent.
Calling something shit or crap doesn't say anything about the work that went into it and i'm not seeing anyone here who's insulting the work process or effort themselves.

Number 2 is absolutely perfect. The cleavage is also nice. Again It's not about them NOT being sexy it's about them being sexy AND relevant to the gaming situation.

It's a model of Ciri after she started breast feeding, so it makes sense.

You can reduce it to fit her body. I was more thinking about the concept itself.

RE complaining about free stuff: I think that this sort of feedback is really important. They chose these outfits because they thought they would appeal to fans, so they should know that their fans actually have a varied opinion on it. Some like it, some would prefer something more cohesive with the narrative. That way next time around they can make their decision with such information in mind.

Jeez, the stupid alternative designs all the time. -.-

Why would she have a free midriff? How was this green lit? It DOESN'T make sense for ANYONE to wear an armor that would not only NOT protect some of the most vulnerable areas on the body but outright reveal them. "Hey, please cut open my belly, I love to drag my intestines behind my wherever I go!"

Just imagine Geralt would wear an armor like this. -.-

And no, this is not about being sexy or not, this is about logic, immersion and believability. Ciri should be geared for combat not for dancing on a pole.
