No, there's no such key. Geralt runs everywhere in the unmodded game.PrivatePartes said:I have looked throughout the manual and cannot find a 'key' to toggle between 'run' and 'walk', etc. Is there supposed to be such a 'key'? If so, it is not in the documentation that I can see...
h) Controls- Improved "walk mod" (author of original mod - J_Slash, thanks again!) allowing to walk using OST cameraTo use this feature, bind a key to new walk function in game options
That would be sweet, not to mention more realistic.MysterD said:I wonder if Geralt will be able to WALK in Witcher 2....
If not, I imagine we can all throw ourselves upon the mercy of J_Slash and Flash again.MysterD said:I wonder if Geralt will be able to WALK in Witcher 2....

Wow... that's a hefty demand from a Child of Fate... ;DYour first post and you haven't even introduced yourself. Anyways, welcome to the CommunityTalkShowHost said:I just want an honest answer from the developers. Why did they go to all this bother to release EE, yet they chose not to add "walking". It is one of the stupidest design decisions I have ever seen. It also makes them look amateurish since "walking" is available from mods. I just want an answer please, nothing more, nothing less.
I didn't mean to be rude by not introducing myself, sorry. About my "child of fate" status I assume you were joking.56236 said:Wow... that's a hefty demand from a Child of Fate... ;DYour first post and you haven't even introduced yourself. Anyways, welcome to the Community![]()
It's not properly available in other camera modes. Using the mouse to initiate walking and holding it down is really not the best of methods. By doing so it restricts free use the camera.56236 said:Meanwhile, I think that the game was strictly on deadline and the option was available for other camera modes so it wasn't that big of a deal.
It's not enough. Walking with a mod, though helfpul, has not taken into account traveling speed. Geralt walks too slow. Besides, walking should be a toggle option, not a pressing the button all the time option. Either way, many thanks to the modders but that is not the answer. The deadline "argument" is also not a good one. Adding a walking option is very easy, as modders proved, and they could have easily introduced it in one of the patches. I just want an honest answer why they didn't. I know I won't get it because there is no logical answer. For a game that strives so much in creating atmosphere, such omission is just stupid. Great game though.56236 said:Anyways, we got what we want because of our dedicated community members, whom we greatly thank.
