Am i an idiot?, too obsessed?

I have this insane urge to buy more copies of the game for some reason, i just love it so much i cant explain, its a masterpiece!.
I have this plan to buy three more copies of the game, one to send to my brother, the other to my cousin, and the other one for storage (will always keep it sealed and safe). I also want to find/buy the collectors edition for Witcher 1 and Witcher 2 for the goodies inside (specially the papercrafts, they are very fun to do).

Am i an idiot to want to waste so much money on a game?

Buy more copies and give them out! (Steam, Collector's Edition and a Xbox version)

I bought 3 copies so I'm right there with you and you made two threads.

Some people collect stamps, beermats, a lock of hair from each of their victims,,,

You seem relatively sane in comparison.

I bought copies of TW1 for anyone who I could convince to play it. Plus I have an original edition, an Enhanced edition, and a GoG edition of TW1 just for myself.

And Tommy bought a huge number of copies of TW1 -- I think it might have been as many as 50 -- and distributed them to anyone he could convince to play it.

You may well be an idiot. But if you are, you're in good company. ;)

Yeah, I also love TW. But I'm not going to give out or recommend a game that takes two days to install.

Edwin Leistham, who unfortunately died mercilessly by my hand, last night. If I get a cookie it will be worth the tragedy, I'd say.

Well, I bought this game a few months ago but my Laptop couldnt handle it, it looked so awesome that I decided to buy a desktop pc + good graphic card to play it..and here I am, and I dont regret doing that decision not only because I love The Witcher 2, but well this pc also works nicely for home, university stuff and playing a few other games (this is my favorite game by far anyways).

Ehh anyways back to the point, its nice to see im not the only one that did something similar haha.

As soon as I get my lap top for college, the Witcher 1 and 2 will be my first purchases to go along with my enhanced edition copy for 360. I loved the game so much. Just so many great things about it, and it hit my interests on many levels (especially the politics as I am going to major in Political Science)

I like you already mate (poli sci and history major here).

If you're interested, check out the articles I wrote about the politics of The Witcher 2. Some need to be updated though given the new info we get with the Enhanced Edition. And I will definitely write more.

The true test is.... what is your party affiliation if any? If you answer correctly we can become forum friends.

Nvm didn't see you were from Canada. But as long as you like Obama you are good.

Well depends on what country you're talking about. But I am no ideologue in general and there is no party that I can think of that impresses me. So I am not affiliated to any party.

I would consider myself a Democrat in U.S. but I respect those who would do not have an ideologue, if it weren't for the major contrast in parties here in the U.S. right now I would consider myself a moderate and in the middle.

Also I read some of the the witcher politics part 1, and that is amazingly well written. That will help me understand the story more because it is all kind of hard to take in your first time and especially if you never played the first witcher.

No, no, i am too thinking about buying more copies of the game to distribute them to my friends and relatives. The Witcher games are really good and, while almost all publishers are panicking and forcing the buyers to use malware like Steam or Origin, here even the DVD-based copy-protection is removed. I think this is rather user friendly and should be supported. I really hope, that the publisher and the developers earn a lot of money with those games.
I am sure, that under this conditions, i will buy one, or maybe two or three, copies of the next game as well.

I was a poli sci major.... then I realized the people who get into poli sci 75% are there to get into law school. The other 25% are there because they think it is a good degree. I am now doing an econ specialist... transferred and never looked back.

If you want to get into poli sci do a specialist degree. Like i.r or peace and conflict studies. Specialize as much as you can into it because a general poli sci degree = meaningless. It isn't highly regarded at all unless you really specialize into it and you won't find an amazing job with it either. Thats why most people who take it want to go to law school right after or become teachers.

Also if you get it from a good school known for their poli sci program... you specialize into it from there. You are set.... do an MPA/ID masters from a decent school... you are set for life.
