Am I the only one who doesn't give a drowners soggy butt about Gwent?

I guess maybe its cause I don't care for cards games in real life either and I would much rather randomly explore and get into trouble then playing a card game in a game. And yes, I tried it and I got so bored and frustrated I ran outside the tavern with my sword and got everyone pissed off and had a huge fight with the guards until I died from too many arrows.

I felt better afterwards.

I don't think you're the only one, as I've seen posts like yours before :)

You don't have to enjoy Gwent, everyone has different tastes.

Personally I think it's brilliant! One of my fave things about the Witcher 3. (Perhaps because it's the only part of the Witcher 3 that has Iorveth in it)

After getting my Card Collector achievement, I started playing less Gwent than I used to. But that doesn't mean I don't care for it.

The game just tends to get so easy once you have a powerful deck that it's pointless to play anymore (unless you're blowing off steam).

Love gwent and I know it's unlikely but I would love it if some cards were elite in their own special way like

Ciri and Geralt rated 30 as the two best cards in the game by a long way
Vesemir, Yen and Triss rated 20
Letho, Iorveth and Vernon Roche 15

Then it gets lower

I'm not a fan of card games in general. I hardly played Gwent at all on my first playthrough. (Just enough to decide I really couldn't be bothered.)

On the other hand, I played more of it my second time around. I still haven't gotten very into it. At the very least, it's one more distraction to occupy you if you need a break from the drudgery of wandering the vast, detailed regions of the world, slaying mythical beasts with blade and spell, and immersing yourself in the colorful characters and quests.

I prefer Gwent more so than the dice game. I think it's a good addition.

Love gwent my wish-list for future add would be
1) 2 spy cards for monster and scoia'atel deck
2)Regular high stake gwent tournament outside quests , like winning prizes could be not just crowns or rare cards but relic swords, horses and eaven a high estate property in Gildorf for Gerald with personal stash and trophy wall ( god i would love that)
3) And a tag team gwent game with 4 players would be sweet .

You are probably one of few. I think that its one of the best minigames I have seen, its not too complicated nor simple, doesn´t take long to play it, you gradually improves your skills and decks, find and win cards, it´s just well done and fun so I like to stop sometimes and play with some merchant.
If its not your cup of tea theres no need to play ity you can give it a chance later :youdontsay:

Yeah.. I feel the same, I don't like card games in general, I guess for those who do.. like these little games, in games.. it does look to be better than the old dice game. I just can't get into it, I might be playing it wrong though, I seem to never have enough cards and they are alway weak so I just ignore it.

Ay, Gwent is interesting, and can be a bit fun, sometimes -- I'll concede that much -- but only once you've a fairly competent deck. Long live Dice Poker!

I didn't play Gwent in my first playthrough, probably because I didn't really get the hang of it, plus I thought to myself, its probably just a dumb card game. Started understanding and playing it on my second playthrough, and all I can say is Gwent is love, Gwent is life. Everyone has different preferences I suppose.

No, there a re actually dozens of you peeps. DOZENS!

At first I didn't care about Gwent, but later it sucked me in. Since I started playing TW2 I suffer every time I have to play dice poker... At least it's not as bad as it was in TW1, where you had to play 2-3 rounds (depending on the outcome)... Now that was truly hell!

I love Gwent, is is so much fun. I was kinda gutted when they announced dice poker would not be in the game as it was great fun but Gwent truly is awesome fun.

Of course not: fun just isn't in the cards at the moment.

Carry on with comments on the merits and shortcomings of Gwent, friends.

Didn't play it on my first playthrough. But on my second i tryed it.... and holymoly - i love it. In the beginning it's a bit difficult until you get good cards... unfortunately there are no real enemys outside the great tournament in novigrad.

i tried to play gwent to save the life of a man in a side quest, i failed miserably, i don't like gwent, i can't get to understand it correctly i guess, the oppponent always wins,
i can't move the cards, can't do anything, but i don't care i rather be outside and explore and do things
