Yes, because you do not share our opinion, we really must have no idea what we are talking about.. Tell me how smart you are.. It is a wonder you lived this long without a brain..

If you think anything gives you the right to disrespect people, i will suggest this game:

@thewarsend. No swearing at people, save in jest. No suggesting vtmb has no brain, except in jest. No losing your temper at all, in fact. Defending your opinion on its merits is fine, as is engaging other people's opinion on their merits.

Telling them, in cutesy language, to go fuck themselves because you believe they "disrespected" you , is not fine. If you really feel that way, then do it in a private message, do not yell at them in public.

What's more, you knoowwwww this.

Finally, Dragon said get back on topic, which neither on of you, @thewarsend and @vtmb did. She didn't use big red moderator letters because she loves you. As do I. Love, love love.

Now, back on topic and no more yelling at each other over an opinion about a video game perspective - on some poor developer's thread promoting said game. Neither the time nor the place.

Well, off to work for me. You kids play nice.

Who are you and what the hell have you done with Sard? What kind of fucked up Stepford wife program in involved with becoming a mod?

I mean seriously..... nice.... talking about love......... c'mon Sard, this was your first chance to lay the mod hammer down.... and you brought flowers...I expected this from DB, after all, she is nice in general, to everyone but me.... but from you.... I expected wrath, fire and brimstone.... OLD TESTAMENT STYLE RETRIBUTION....

Is there any kind of body snatching/personality scrubbing chapters of Ama's Lullaby to help me understand what just happenned here.................................. and to keep my post on topic....

OT: The game does pique my interest. I notice that you're going for turn-based combat. Can you elaborate more on the mechanics though? Do you control just one character, or a whole party, how do skills work, how customisable is the character, if at all, does the game feature any significant C&C etc? Or is it too early in development to talk about it?

You're funny.

'Here is an artwork for the ground floor of the city. Dirty, dark, wet and dangerous, it's the ideal place for unarmed cyborgs to be transformed into spare parts by trafic...
The entrances for the luxurious inner-city are harshly protected by guards."

I just saw this and thought, "SLA Industries." I wonder of the AMA crew are fans?

@ReptilePZ : We're going to work on the combat system in some weeks. That's why we don't have a lot of details to say at the moment. We have just recruited a new programmer to work on that. We are looking for a turn based system but with realtime phases, to merge tactics with something more dynamic when it's needed. It will probably need a lot of adjustments, and we have to try it to know if it works well (or not). There is no grid in our combat sytem. And yes, you'll have to control a team (+1 for the top-view!). We want trully tactics combats, like you can find in games like Jagged Alliance series.
@Sardukhar : I missed this game (SLA Industries), but it looks interested (it sounds so morbid!). We're not going for a horror side in our game, but it seems that we share some features with SLA Industries, more accurately for the dark and dirty suburban, inspired by industrial, cyberpunk, and gothic athmospheres. The "punk" side in cyberpunk projects is sometimes not present, or not enough. We don't want to make a clean cyberpunk game, that will hide the immoral things, and we know true cyberpunk gamers will see the difference.

I really like the concept and atmoshere. :)

Regarding the isometric debate, :p Im OK with it. :) The reason I loved Baldurs Gate 2 and Planescape Torment, and look forward to playing Pillars or Shadowrun Returns (yeah, didnt get it yet, dont judge) is because those worlds sparkled my imagination. The stories were interesting. The choices mattered. It wasnt because of the isometric perspective...

The Ama character looks cool. :) I dont want to sound like the love child of Anita Sarkesian, :p but is there a story justification for her to have a skimpy oufit? ???
Being a droid, wouldnt be more logical not to have any clothes at all? Like the female droid in Mass Effect 3 I mean.

Any news regarding the game? How development is rolling along? And about the crowfunding ideas?

--> You're completely right!

For the look of the cyborg, the character will have different cloth styles, not only this one ;) She's more a human (cyborg) than a machine (android), that's why she have a true skin etc...!
About the development I'll give more infos in some minutes over here :)
Thanks for your feedback!

---------- Updated at 04:02 PM ----------

Hi all,

As you will see with the next pictures, we don't have a lot of screenshots from our game prototype to show you. In facts, it is progressing quite slowly. The main reason is that the project is too complex (because of the RPG and hardore-oriented features) for being developed without any funds. It takes a lot of time, and because in our lives we have full-time jobs, it runs slowly. Furthermore, it's complicated to stay focused, and to motivate the team since the beginning of the project (it has started in the end of 2013...), without any guarantee of a succesful financing in the future. We'd love to give more for this project but we can't.

That's why we're thinking about trying to raise funds, in a few months. It could help us to focus on the game, to develop it in a quite faster way. More importantly, it would give us the opportunity to build a real small game development studio behind the project, to make it more official.

So, what are we doing now in our free time? Well, we're working on a small cinematic 3D movie, showing the game's atmosphere and main lines story. Here are some test renders and screenshots (still work in progress).

We will be back very soon to announce our decision about the crowdfunding campaign, stay tuned! Feel free to tell us your point of view on our website, Facebook, Twitter, Google+ or on this forum. You can also contact us via the contact form of our website.

Hi there,

For those who were interested in the project, please note that I started again from scratch in a more modest version of the game, far more adequate for a first game development. If you wish to learn more about the new concept you can check out the page on Steam Greenlight for a first preview (see attachment)

There will be much more information in a few days on Kickstarter. Sorry for resurrecting this old topic, but some of you wanted to be informed in case a crowdfunding happens.

The campaign is now live on Kickstarter! Check it out here:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1005143815/amas-lullaby-a-point-and-click-game-in-a-cyberpunk

This is our last post in this forum, because it's not the right place to promote here (just wanted to say a word about the campaign to braindancer12 , Decatonkeil , chriswebb2020.736 , Sardukhar , Garrison72 , Deadbolt_Don , schiff , Poet_and_Gentleman.598 ).

Cheers!
