Thank you for one of the best, if not THE best, games I've ever played. I eagerly look forward to the expansions and Cyberpunk

Gratulacje CD Project Red!

Gratulacje CD Project Red!
(I really hope that is congratulations in Polish and not some horrendous insult.)

Thank you, Mr. Badowski and CD Project Red for about the greatest game *ever* amongst some stiff competition. I still can't get my head around how you managed to build this enormous, brilliant spectacle of an RPG.

For my second playthrough, I set the language to Polish (w/ English subs) to try to get the most authentic experience. Strange, maybe, but it's been fun.

It's a rare and precious gift for us lucky RPG gamers. Now I've got to go and read the Witcher books.

6 Million in that amount of time is stellar for an RPG.

Congratulations to everyone @cdprojektRED. Looking forward to Cyberpunk release!

But I hope you can keep your promise to 6 million players and release new RedKIT for Witcher3..
"@Marcin360 "we are looking to release the REDkit sometime after the game launches for the modding community."

@MeerMusik This is the mod support for the Wild Hunt. At this moment we are not planning to release anything else.

Now we only have a ModKIT and no one is able to create new content for Witcher3. We can only change existing things.

I can understand if the stock owners wanted to prevent players from creating content, because that will take away revenue streams from paid DLC content that you are currently making for Witcher3.. Still, the community has been very disappointed about your decisions. Player created content is what made Skyrim so popular.

For us, all your high praise, all the positive reviews, are also an obligation -- we’ve made a really good game but there’s still a long road ahead of us.

So you're still only talking about "positive" reviews? How about the negative ones? How about serious and honest critique? Will you tackle it actively in the future and communicate on it and interacte acitively with the community? Or will you still just dodge it and act like it never existed in the first place, like we're already used to?

Reading this letter could evoke the feeling that literally everybody is perfectly happy with your game and that you guys only strive to be even better than perfection. Reality is though that the community rose some serious concern and points of critique in the past few weeks, criticism you don't even mention in your letter to the fans...

I was really hopeful when I read the header of this post but now I'm pretty disappointed again. It's just the same old, vacuous PR speech again, basically just praising yourself and that's it. Seriously, I'm happy for you that TW3 was a commercial success and I believe that you care about it. But that's no news at all. I don't see any value in this letter beyond you praising yourself and telling us that you care about your game (which would every sane dev tell their fans). Missed potential, sadly, especially after all these discussions about lacking communication in the community lately... -_-

There is a quite fitting German saying on the topic btw: "Eigenlob stinkt". ;)

Once again repeating that, I am highly thankful for the awesome game that you have given to us. This is one of the best game, I have ever experienced. You guys deserve more than 6M copies, let it get doubled in coming days.

Congrats once again!!

Well, I like the message, I don't read it as simply backslapping. I gather its the 3 month anniversary, and its says they "sold over 6 million copies in six weeks since launch", so what are we at now... 12 million since launch plus the preorders which can't be included in the 6 already, can they ?

Only pulling your leg Marcin, always good to get a despatch from HQ. ;)

Congrats REDs !

To be fair, if CDPR ever released a game that pissed fans off, they'd react by lampshading the issues or finding all the positive aspects and discard every serious claim or critisisms made towards their game (just like Bioware), as long as the overall critical and public state of the game is in the green. But I digress.

Even if this is backslapping, it's good to see that so many people are this happy about Witcher 3, and having a bit of knowledge about what goes on during such a long development cycle inside a developer, I know it's such a relief to see almost nothing but praise and approval when the whole team is tired after giving it their all for 3+ years.

Well done CDPR, and definitely a "thank you" from me too. You guys may not have "redefined the RPG" as you set out to do, but you damn well set a high and respectable standard for next-gen gaming, that I hope inspires future developers to get into, particularly stuff like free DRM and appropriate DLC practices. Those are good principles to put on a pedestal.

Thanks to all of you developers for making such a wonderful game! I haven't started playing yet because unfortunately I don't have much time for gaming any more and am not finished with Witcher 2 yet but I have read some reviews and I am looking forward to Witcher 3 very much and I hope I will find the time to enjoy your game one day.

@Scholdar.452
/Sign
And Agree.

Its a good game, no doubt , and i do not begrudge them their success, but Witcher 3 is far away from perfect or the game it should be and i was hoping for.
Mistakes and missing opportunities....and quite a few....
And i'm also missing some self criticism and comments about community complaints in general...

There is still much to do, and i hope for some changes.
Story...Eredin..Wild Hunt in general....Skellige Sea ( incredibly boring!) ....etc etc

Maybe one day the witcher 3 is the game it should be.
If an company can make it happen, then it's CDPR !

At least i hope so .... :p

I applaud your honesty. It took three pages for someone to point out the elephant in the room.

No redkit2, charging for ingame tracks that are missing from the retail OST, on top of non existent communication on the forums, this letter comes across a bit....

No criticism or sarcasm intended, but are they free? I'm not sure we know yet. The announcement Marcin made to-day looks as though they'll be available for purchase only . . . .
