Anatomy of a Crime

As a completionist I cannot stand having a failed quest so I'd appreciate it if someone could give me some advice on
how to mod my save/game so that it will look like I've completed the autopsy.

SPOILER ALERT

I've cleared everyone of suspicion then told them that Azar is posing as Raymond so I guess that eliminated the need for the autopsy. The last step "Know your enemy" was sort of misleading since I've finished the chapter and still didn't learn Azar's methods.

END OF SPOILER

I know completing or failing the quest has no markers that affect TW2 in any way. It's just a matter of personal preference.

The quest cancels itself if you go to Shani´s party before the autopsy, so if you have some save previous to that go from there.

Why is that so? Will it have any effect on the game?

Just because that is the way it is ordered: the party is after the autopsy, and the autopsy is unnecessary if you found Raymond's corpse. So the autopsy becomes optional, and if you proceed to the party, you skip it.

You must either complete the autopsy or find Raymond's corpse to advance the main quest. You may do, but you do not need, both.

The only way these quests change anything is if you incriminate a different suspect in the course of the autopsy.
