^This absolutly. I've loved deeply The Sword of Destiny and I think Sapkowski gives his very best in short stories.vermeer said:I would love more short-stories books like The Last Wish and The Sword of Destiny. That would be fantastic when Sapkowski continues the CDPR's story or at least refers to the events.secondchildren said:@Guy N'wah
I know what you mean, it's that I don't believe in re bumping an old subject. Unless he is planning a sort of spin off (about Ciri, Eskel, Triss.. whoever) Geralt died in Rivia and that is the place where he is supposed to be. Unless Sapkowsky's story will be related to CDP games... just guessing. I've seen too many time a hero ressurecting from the grave, but the story was never convincing.
A decade? Sad but true. I really don't understand what impedes the English translations whereas in other countries the translations went smoothly.secondchildren said:Here's hoping that he wasn't just being facetious. Still, given how long we've waited on official translations of the books already written, it would probably take a decade or more before we would see it in English, even if true.
Sorry, I didn't mean it like thatsecondchildren said:@Ward Dragon
Ah yes, you may be right. I didn't think to a prequel, but it might be in fact
Oh wait... it's Star wars flop shadow
This sounds perfect.WardDragon said:But back to the Witcher, even if a new book takes place earlier in the timeline, it could have a self-contained story and not necessarily lead up to any of the events that we've already seen. Therefore it could still be fresh, new and interesting![]()
It will be the new "The Witcher"! Everything about Andrzej Sapkowski and the saga of Geralt
"All I can say is that this is a novel, not a short story collection, and that its shares will be held in the realities of the world Witcher" - revealed Miroslaw Kowalski, editor of publications Supernova that publish next Sapkowski's book in Poland.
Kowalski also argues that "there will be no sequel nor a prequel, as indeed Sapkowski has repeatedly publicly stressed only thing absolutely separate."
What exactly does the expression, it will be a "thing absolutely separate"?
Interesting news. Thanks for posting itnocny said:
But if the new book is going to be "absolutely separate" from the saga, then I'm afraid Ciri is unlikely to appear. Nor is Geralt or Yennefer or Vesemir or any of our favorites.Bratinov said:I would love to read more about Ciri, she's by far my favorite witcher character.
