I just want to increase blood decals time on ground and blood. What setting I have to edit?

And also, in the game there are some little grass tufts that appears when you are very close.

For decals try to increase the decals sliders...but function is not confirmed yet...so you better ask KNG for his work...

There's now squirts and drop decals on the ground, it's really messy. I love it!

For grass increase the grass sliders as described in the menu...:eek:

I can confirm that you can't increase decals with that. I just tried it.

Now that I added the huge blood splatters and squirt decals that hit the ground you can clearly see, that there is some engine limit of how many of them can be there at the same time. You don't notice that with the small default splatters they only have a particle lifetime of 7, after that they "fade out". I increased life time and they would stay A LOT longer on the ground. But here comes the problem, as soon as a certain amount of blood hit the ground, the first one to hit starts to despawn, even though the particle's lifetime hasnt been reached yet.

Meaning, if you fight a 3-4 guys and you produce a huge puddle of blood, the blood will start disappearing, which sucks.

Increasing the DECALS values in the Decals Menu didnt change that at all.

Maybe, the DECALS options are for something else, most definitely not for the Blood decals.

While unfortunate, this still sounds way better than how blood decals are handled currently in the game.

Increasing their lifespan is certainly progress - because it takes you out of the immersion so quickly to see them vanish so fast - but if it's a big puddle, it's harder to notice each one vanishing as new ones are put down.

or at least I imagine it's like that.

the problem with the decals limit is this:


spawn 1 decal - decals stays and fades out until lifespan is reached

spawn 10 decals (big fight) and as soon as decal 11 is spawned, decal 1 disappears, even though it hasn't reached its lifetime yet.

Noticed that the graphics option seems to repeat itself if that makes sense. Other than that, very good mod that makes my life easier.

looks better than them all disappearing quick-like. Maybe decrease the placement chance until it's balanced?

I maxed everything out, doesn't affect it at all.

have you tried the standart decals options? do they change anything? low to ultra?

This image is the top of my graphics menu. After scrolling down to the bottom, the whole list of options repeats itself and can be seen again.

So you guys did a backup of render.ini in the same folder...put the backup somewhere else...!

Hmm, no, that wasn't it.

I will try updating to the new version though and see if that fixes anything. :)

Ok i found out what the problem is...I accidently named the file "render" instead of "rendering"

Wait for update or delete the rendering.xml and rename the render.xml in rendering.xml

But this bug gave me idea for a new layout^^

Updated mod to 1.02...
Doubled menus shouldnt be problem nomore

Mod works perfectly after the update, but I didn't see grass density or any other grass-related settings. Might have missed them or looked them over, but I think adding a section for options dealing with the grass/foliage would be nice.
