"We'll not deliver exclusive content to any of the platforms, nor will we artificially delay release of the game on any of the platforms because somebody's paying us money for that. It's definitely against our values. We are not doing that."

This is just further proof that CDPR has abandoned pc gamers. Because Witcher 2 was a console port disguised as a pc game, and all the gameplay of Witcher 3 has been played with a controller without a single word about the pc version, I already had doubts about the future of Witcher 3. With these news CDPR has graciously helped me with my decision to not buy this game. I hope you all see that CDPR is not the saviour of videogames you have been led to believe.

Way to break your image you've been building up so carefully...in just mere hours. Was it really worth it I wonder?
That being said, there's way too many people overreacting the situation. Many companies have managed to get away with much more "evil" moves. Another lesson for CDPR I guess...

At least I myself couldn't care less about these extras, since I don't own either of the consoles and I'll buy the standard edition anyway.

I am sorry but that is just stupid. Nothing in this post has any substance. TW2 came first out on PC and was later adapted for the XBOX with additional content everyone on PC got for free. Most of the presentations for TW3 were (confirmed) on the PC but they used a controller because it just MAKES SENSE for a public presentation. It is posts like this that make a proper discussion impossible.

so how is ms a 3rd party offering a playing card and map as an extra to convince buyers to buy their version of the game any different.

just like not every one has a GameStop in their country, not everyone has each console.

Ну бля, только не надо из себя целку корчить!

Let's be realistic here. Tomb Raider devs made the new game exclusive. CDPR just added some stuff to CE edition. MS is paying them all to boost X1 sales, and I guess, paying very well. In a very uncertain market, with another huge game in development, it is like a godsend. It would be for me if MS offered me to promote them (it would cost them A LOT, though). So, for those who are over 21 and support themselves, it should be fucking understandable. It is not like we are talking about a committing an atrocity here, just some stupid extra physical stuff.

On one side they said there won´t be differences between platfroms on the other hand it just affects collectors edition and not ingame content. So it is most unfair for those who will own collectors on the other platfroms.

I bought the Digital Deluxe version from GOG and then pre-ordered the PC CE edition as soon as I could. IF I had known ahead of time that the PC edition wasn't the same as the others, I would have purchased the one that included the most as that is the reason for purchasing the CE right? I was also planning on purchasing the Steam edition as well, just due to the way I felt about CDPR at the time. Now? I'm not sure. Yes the game will be the same across all platforms. Yes the exact syntax of the statements being analyzed are correct. There is a difference between the Letter of the law and the Spirit of the law. Many of us believed that CDPR was talking in the Spirit sense and now we are finding out they were indeed using the Letter.

p.s. Are we 100% that CDPR is really behind this? Is maybe Namco Bandai behind it?

People who believe that the outrage is about the specific exclusive items: YOU ARE MISSING THE POINT!

Now think a bit more than 2 seconds and maybe you'll understand why people are actually raging {justifiably so} and then come back and join forces because this affects you too maybe not now but in the future.

It's funny that you and I believe others say this, while at first complaining that the other platform get more items for the same price. People would have complained if they announced it this way anyway. People would have said CDPR had betrayed their trust anyway. I'm not saying you specifically would, just in general people would have complained anyway.

Here is the thing, I would have grumbled a bit and many would have complained. I would have also been able to make my purchasing decision with accurate information and without any changing facts later on. The fact that this is happening so late in makes it far worse in my eyes. It is a betrayel of trust no matter how you look at it but atleast Cd Projekt would have been honest about it from the very start. So in conclusion, it makes the thing much worse than it could have been.

A fair point but really those are very minor additions. Two decks of illustrated cards and a cloth map are substantial ones, and again, it's the fact they wheeled and dealed with MS. To be honest I'll be prowling ebay for those items after release because I've always wanted a cloth map of the Witcher's world. So yes, it's kind of disappointing I'm paying what xbone users are and getting less.

Yes, we are. Namco is only distributing the game in Europe and Oceania. WB is distributing it in the US. CDPR is publishing it.
